Hank Klibanoff was the Managing Editor for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution until June 24, 2008 when he stepped down. He received the Pulitzer prize... for history in 2007 for the book The Race Beat: The Press, the Civil Rights Struggle, and the Awakening of a Nation, co-written with Gene Roberts. He was the Deputy Managing Editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer, where he worked for 20 years. He was also a reporter for the Boston Globe. He is now a journalism professor at Emory University and often gives guest lectures to journalism students across the United States. Hank Klibanoff was born and raised in Florence, AL. He got an early start in journalism delivering newspapers by bicycle. Hank graduated from Coffee High School in Florence and attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied under Howard Nemerov and received his degree in English. Hank studied journalism at the Medill School of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Father to three girls, Eleanor, Caroline and Corinne. Married to Laurie Leonard.

Luke Matheny is an American actor, writer, and director. Matheny is an Academy Award winner, receiving the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short... Film for God of Love. Matheny grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of DiAnn and Mat Matheny, a pipe welder and furniture designer. He graduated from Wilmington's Concord High School in 1993 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. He later worked as a reporter and copy editor for a variety of trade magazines and web sites in Chicago. His career includes stints as a synopsis writer for Netflix and as a story editor for the MTV series Made. In 1998 Matheny developed a plan with three friends to shoot a movie about three under-appreciated losers from Chicago who quit their jobs, move to Paris, and become street musicians. Matheny and his friends quit their jobs, moved to Paris, and started shooting the film in May 2001. The film premiered at the 2003 Wilmington Independent Film Festival. Matheny recalled, "It was weird; we hit the ground and started casting people off the street.

James R. "Jim" Jarmusch is an American independent film director, screenwriter, actor, producer, editor and composer. Jarmusch has been a major... proponent of independent cinema, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s. Jarmusch was born to a family of middle-class suburbanites in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 1953. His mother, of Irish and German descent, had been a reviewer of film and theatre for the Akron Beacon Journal before marrying his father, a businessman of Czech and German descent who worked for the B.F. Goodrich Company. She introduced the future director, the middle of three children, to the world of cinema by leaving him at a local cinema to watch matinee double features such as Attack of the Crab Monsters and Creature From the Black Lagoon while she ran errands. The first adult film he recalls having seen was the 1958 cult classic Thunder Road the violence and darkness of which left an impression on the seven-year-old Jarmusch. Another B-movie influence from his childhood was Ghoulardi, an eccentric Cleveland television show which featured horror films.
