The Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre oceanarium located on the island of Virginia Key in Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States and is... located near downtown Miami. It is the longest operating oceanarium in the United States. In addition to the marine mammals, the Miami Seaquarium also houses various fish, sharks, sea turtles, birds, reptiles and manatees. The park offers eight different marine animal shows and presentations daily and attracts over 600,000 visitors per year. The park employs over 225 full and part-time employees. It is the third largest contributor to Miami-Dade County’s revenue through land lease payments and taxes. The park was founded by Fred D. Coppock and Captain W.B. Gray and was the second marine-life attraction in South Florida. Upon its grand opening in 1955, it was the largest marine-life attraction in the world. From 1963 through 1967, 88 television episodes and two movies starring Flipper were filmed at Miami Seaquarium. One of the Miami Seaquarium's attractions is Lolita, one of the world's oldest captive orcas. She is currently the park's only orca.

The Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is a Holocaust memorial at 1933-1945 Meridian Avenue, in Miami Beach, Florida. It was... conceived by a committee of Holocaust survivors in 1984, formally established in 1985 as the Holocaust Memorial Committee, a non-profit organization. It was designed by Kenneth Treister on a site designated by the City of Miami Beach Commission at Meridian Avenue and Dade Boulevard. The Memorial was opened on Sunday, February 4, 1990, with Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel as guest speaker at the dedication ceremonies. The memorial is open 7 days per week from 9:00am to sunset.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is a collecting museum located in the heart of downtown North Miami, Florida. MoCA offers visitors both temporary... exhibitions and exhibitions of it's collection. The 23,000-square-foot structure was designed by the internationally acclaimed architecture firm Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects, New York, which worked in conjunction with the Miami firm of Gelabert-Navia to create the building. The Museum of Contemporary Art opened its building in February 1996.

Elmer Figueroa Arce , best known under the stage name Chayanne, is a Puerto Rican Latin pop singer and actor. As a solo artist, Chayanne has released... 21 solo-albums and sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Elmer Figueroa Arce was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, but moved with his family as a child to San Lorenzo on 29 June 1968. He was the third of five siblings. After the birth of two more siblings the family moved to San Lorenzo in the southeast part of the island . This is his home, where he frequently returns to visit his family. Elmer Figueroa became Chayanne while still a child; a nickname that was given to him by his mother after a favorite television series of the 1960s, Cheyenne. In the late 70s, he auditioned for Menudo, but he was told at the time that he was too young to be in the group. He became part of another group, Los Chicos, who made several #4 hits, including "Puerto Rico Son Los Chicos" and Ave María. After Los Chicos separated in 1984, Chayanne began his career as a solo artist.

At a young age, Page had to face the responsibilities of caring for her younger siblings. Her parents divorced when she was 10 years old.

As a result of one of the group's songs, which used a parody of Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman" Campbell was party to Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. which was argued in front of the US Supreme Court. Campbell's work as a performer can be characterised as Southern Rap; most of it is part of the Miami Bass sub-genre. The sexual content of his group's lyrics caused controversy and led to legal cases. Usually, Campbell does not rap but rather shouts or chants—very often in a call and response manner, with him calling and the crowd responding. He was not an original member of the 2 Live Crew, only joining them after their first steps as a California rap crew. Only through Campbell did they become "Southern" rappers.

Richard Allen Mitchell was an American jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, rock, and funk trumpeter, known for many albums recorded as leader and sideman... for Riverside, Blue Note and then Mainstream Records. Mitchell was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He began playing trumpet in high school where he acquired his nickname, Blue. After high school he played in the rhythm and blues ensembles of Paul Williams, Earl Bostic, and Chuck Willis. After returning to Miami he was noticed by Cannonball Adderley, with whom he recorded for Riverside Records in New York in 1958. He then joined the Horace Silver Quintet playing with tenor saxophonist Junior Cook, bassist Gene Taylor and drummer Roy Brooks. Mitchell stayed with Silver's group until the band's break-up in 1964. After the Silver quintet disbanded, Mitchell formed a group with members from the Silver quintet substituting the young pianist Chick Corea for Silver and replacing Brooks, who had fallen ill, with drummer Al Foster. This group produced a number of records for Blue Note disbanding in 1969, after which Mitchell joined and toured with Ray Charles till 1971.

He is still the last National League pitcher to win 25 or more games in one season, as well as the last pitcher from any team to throw more than 300 innings in a season.
