Michael James Wahle is a former American football guard of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 1998 NFL Supplemental Draft. He played college football at Navy. A Pro Bowl selection in 2005, Wahle also played for the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks. Wahle attended Rim of the World High School and won four varsity letters in baseball as a pitcher, and three varsity letters each in football and basketball before graduating in 1995. Wahle was dropped from the Naval Academy football team his senior season for failing a steroid... test. According to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report, Wahle entered the Academy as a 210-pound wide receiver and left as a 306-pound offensive tackle. He was asked to resign from the Navy and had to work out terms of repayment in lieu of the five years of military service required for midshipmen. Wahle played the first eight seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers from 1998 to 2004. Wahle signed as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2005 and was selected to the Pro Bowl that season.
