Milford

The Washington Bridge carries U.S. Route 1 over the Housatonic River in the U.S. state of Connecticut, connecting the city of Milford to the town of... Stratford. Its geographic location is N 41.20037 by W −73.11039. It is considered architecturally notable by the National Register of Historic Places for its five 100-foot-long arches. The Washington Bridge is the longest drawbridge on the Boston Post Road. It is a steel trunnion-bearing bascule drawbridge. 859 feet in length by 43 feet in width, featuring two lanes in each direction for automotive traffic and a sidewalk for pedestrians. The clear channel for shipping is 125 feet wide. The bridge, which cost $1.5 million in 1921, was the largest and most expensive project of the state highway department up to the date of its construction. It is also known as Bridge No. 327. Another alternate name for the structure is the Devon Bridge. Prior to the current bridge there were two prior spans serving from 1803 to 1894 & 1894 to 1921 . The first noted transport across the river at this point was a ferry that began service around May 1758.

The Housatonic River Railroad Bridge is a historic bridge carrying Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line trackage across the lower Housatonic River... in the U.S. state of Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, and in its listing was described as also being referred to as Devon Bridge. It is also referred to as the Devon Railroad Bridge by the Department of Environmental Protection. It is a "Scherzer Rolling Lift Bascule"-type bascule bridge. It has a steel superstructure and block stone piers. The moveable span is a Warren through truss span. The Pequonnock River Railroad Bridge is another bridge of this type in Connecticut which is also NRHP-listed. It is one of eight moveable bridges on the Amtrak route through Connecticut surveyed in one multiple property study in 1986.

Ellen Anna Muth is an American actress, known for her role as George Lass in Showtime's series Dead Like Me. After a brief stint as a model with... Ford Models and Rascal's Agency, Muth pursued a career in acting, studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, and getting her first professional experience doing commercials in 1993. Her first major role was in the 1995 film Dolores Claiborne. She followed that with a role in the eighth season premiere of Law & Order. Muth's appearance as the daughter in the 1999 film The Young Girl and the Monsoon prompted the following review by Stephen Holden of The New York Times: Ellen Muth, a 19-year-old actress who looks considerably younger, virtually explodes in the role of Constance, the volatile 13-year-old only child of divorced parents. In 1994 Bruno earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from MIT. While there he played varsity football as a linebacker for the MIT football team. In high school he was a nationally ranked wrestler and competed in the AAU Junior Olympic Games several times. Dylan's brother Chris Bruno is also an actor best known for his role as Sheriff Walt Bannerman on the USA Network television series The Dead Zone and as openly gay high school teacher Michael Delaney on All My Children. Also Dylan Bruno is married and has two boys, 4 1/2 and 2 1/2. While working as a model for Calvin Klein, Bruno made his television acting debut in 1995 on the NBC series High Sierra Search and Rescue. He made his film acting debut in Naked Ambition in 1997. In 1998, he had small roles in Saving Private Ryan and When Trumpets Fade and also competed in and won a special episode of American Gladiators. He co-starred in The Rage: Carrie 2 in 1999, Where the Heart Is in 2000, Going Greek in 2001.

Chris Bruno is an American film and television actor best known for his role as Sheriff Walt Bannerman on the USA Network television series The Dead... Zone. His brother Dylan Bruno plays Colby Granger on Numb3rs. During college, Bruno was active in both theater and sports. After an injury sidelined his skiing career while attending college in Vermont, he auditioned for and was cast in the lead in The Mandrake. Transferring to the State University of New York at Stony Brook as a theatre major, he also became the starting pitcher for the school's baseball team. Soon after college graduation, Bruno joined the cast of NBC's Another World as Dennis Carrington Wheeler and was nominated for a Soap Opera Award for Outstanding Newcomer. After Another World, he was cast as Michael Delaney on ABC's All My Children. Bruno spent some time as a stand up comedian in the years following his soap opera stints and landed several guest-starring spots on the sitcoms The Nanny, Jesse and Suddenly Susan.
