Mindanao State University is a public coeducational institution of higher education and research university located in the Islamic City of Marawi, Philippines. Founded in 1961 it is the flagship and the largest campus of the Mindanao State University System. The school was first conceived by the 1954 Congressional Committee of the Philippines, who saw in it an opportunity help create a sense of national identity.
