Mitsubishi introduces the new Model HS-HD2000U, a D-VHS HDTV VCR. This state-of-the-art VCR combines the new D-VHS standard for recording high definition and standard digital signals with all of the quality and performance of a premium S-VHS VCR. It receives its high definition signal in digital form through an IEEE 1394 network connection to an integrated HDTV or IEEE 1394equipped HDTV receiver.
