Fant–Ewing Coliseum is a 7,085-seat multi-purpose arena in Monroe, Louisiana, United States, on the campus of the University of Louisiana at... Monroe. It was built in 1971 and is home to the Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks basketball teams. It has hosted the Southland Conference men's basketball tournament five times and the Atlantic Sun Conference men's basketball tournament three times. During the 2006-07 season, a student only section was created. Deemed the "Hawk's Nest", this section energized Fant-Ewing and the players. The first game played in Fant-Ewing was on December 1, 1971 against Sam Houston, who defeated ULM 71-70.

Warhawk Field is a baseball venue located in Monroe, Louisiana. It is home to the ULM Warhawks college baseball team of the Division I Sun Belt... Conference. The venue was opened in 1983 and has a capacity of 1,800 spectators. The field features practice facilities, offices, and tailgate areas located down both foul lines.

Ronnie Dean "Big Ron" Coleman is an American professional bodybuilder who holds the record of eight straight wins as Mr. Olympia, a record career... total that he shares with Lee Haney. Alongside his eight Mr. Olympia wins as a professional bodybuilder, Coleman holds the record for most wins as an IFBB professional with 26. He broke the previous record in Moscow on November 5, 2004. Ronnie Coleman graduated cum laude from Grambling State University in 1986 with a B.S degree in accounting. While attending Grambling State University Coleman also played football as a middle linebacker with the GSU Tigers under coach Eddie Robinson. After graduation, Coleman became a police officer in Arlington, Texas. Coleman's fellow officer Gustavo Arlotta suggested he attend the Metroflex gym, owned by amateur bodybuilder Brian Dobson. Dobson offered Coleman a free lifetime membership if he would allow him to train Coleman for the upcoming Mr. Texas bodybuilding competition that year. After the training for the upcoming event of Mr. Texas, Coleman won first place in both the heavy weight and overall categories.

Carl Charles Fontana was an American jazz trombonist. Because Fontana rarely recorded under his own name and toured only occasionally after 1958, he... is significantly less famous among mainstream jazz fans, although well-known amongst trombonists. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Fontana learned jazz music from his father Collie, a saxophonist and violin player, and first performed with his father's band while in high school. Fontana attended the school known today as University of Louisiana Monroe for two years. He then transferred to Louisiana State University, receiving his degree in Music Education in 1950. His first break into the professional jazz scene came the following year, when in 1951 he was hired to stand in for one of Woody Herman's regular trombonists, Urbie Green. Herman was so impressed with Fontana, particularly his improvisational skills, that when Green returned Herman kept Fontana on as a permanent member of the band. After three years with Herman, Fontana joined Lionel Hampton's big band in 1954. In early 1955 he played briefly with Hal McIntyre before joining Stan Kenton's big band later in the year.

She briefly attended Northeast Louisiana University . She began modeling at the age of 13, leaving school and moving to New York to do so, deciding to try her hand at acting several years later. After a few years of small TV jobs on All My Children and NBC's short-lived Malibu Shores, she landed her first main role as the heroine on Aaron Spelling's daytime soap opera Sunset Beach, where she played the virginal Meg Cummings. In 1999, she began to pursue a movie career, and starred as the psychotic Brittany Foster in the erotic thriller The In Crowd. The movie was a commercial disappointment in theaters, but found some success on cable and home video. The following year, Ward played a supporting role in the hit movie Shallow Hal. She has also acted in three other straight-to-video and made-for-cable movies, and has guest starred in four TV series, most notably Friends.

Rustee Allen is an American musician best known as the bass guitar player for the influential funk band Sly and the Family Stone from 1972 to 1975.... Allen replaced founding Family Stone member Larry Graham, who was forced out of the band and went on to start his own, Graham Central Station. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, and raised in Oakland, California, Allen began teaching himself to play the guitar at age twelve. He later joined a local band, and was assigned to play the bass parts on the bottom four strings of his guitar. Penciling in a mustache on his face to obscure his being underage, he was soon playing in bars with blues guitarist Johnny Talbot. A stint with the Edwin Hawkins Singers led him to meet Freddie Stone, brother of Sly Stone and the guitarist in Sly and the Family Stone. Freddie hired Allen to play bass for Little Sister, a Family Stone offshoot group. Larry Graham, the bass player for the Family Stone, was quoted as saying that if he ever left the group, he wanted Allen to replace him. In 1972, Allen got his chance, and assumed the role of bass player in the Family Stone after Graham was forced out of the band.
