Mork and Mindy

Robin McLaurin Williams is an American actor and comedian. Rising to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy, and later stand-up comedy work, Williams has performed in many feature films since 1980. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his... performance in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. He has also won two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards. Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois. His mother, Laura McLaurin , was a former model from New Orleans, Louisiana. His father, Robert Fitzgerald Williams , was a senior executive at Ford Motor Company in charge of the Midwest region. His maternal great-great-grandfather was senator and Mississippi governor Anselm J. McLaurin. Williams is of English, Welsh, Irish, and French ancestry. He was raised in the Episcopal Church . He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he was a student at the Detroit Country Day School, and later moved to Woodacre, Marin County, California, where he attended the public Redwood High School.

Happy Days is an American television sitcom that originally aired from January 15, 1974, to September 24, 1984, on ABC. Created by Garry Marshall, the series presents an idealized vision of life in the mid-1950s to mid-1960s United States. Set in the Midwestern city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the series revolves around teenager Richie Cunningham and his family: his father, Howard , who owns a hardware store; traditional homemaker mother Marion ;... younger sister Joanie ; and high school dropout, biker and suave ladies man Arthur "Fonzie"/"The Fonz" Fonzarelli , who would eventually become the Cunninghams' upstairs tenant. The earlier episodes revolve around Richie and his friends, Warren "Potsie" Weber and Ralph Malph , with Fonzarelli as a secondary character. As the series progressed, Fonzarelli proved to be a favorite with viewers and soon more story lines were written to reflect his growing popularity. Fonzie befriends Richie and the Cunningham family, and when Richie left the series for military service, Winkler's Fonzie became the central figure of the show.
