Hangar One is one of the world's largest freestanding structures, covering 8 acres , and has long been one of the most recognizable landmarks of... California's Silicon Valley. An early example of mid-century modern architecture, it was built in the 1930s as a naval airship station for the USS Macon. Designed by German air ship and structural engineer Dr. Karl Arnstein, Vice President and Director of Engineering for the Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation of Akron, Ohio, in collaboration with Wilbur Watson Associates Architects and Engineers of Cleveland, Ohio, Hangar One is constructed on a network of steel girders sheathed with galvanized steel. It rests firmly upon a reinforced pad anchored to concrete pilings. The floor covers 8 acres and can accommodate six american football fields. The airship hangar measures 1,133 feet long and 308 feet wide. The building has an aerodynamic architecture. Its walls curve inward to form an elongated catenary form 198 feet high. The clam-shell doors were designed to reduce turbulence when the Macon moved in and out on windy days.

The Rengstorff House was one of the first houses to be built in Mountain View, California. It was built by Henry Rengstorff, who operated a ferry... between San Francisco and Mountain View. It is in the Italianate Victorian architecture style. The house was located about a mile from the present location at Shoreline Park. It was saved from destruction in the 1970s, but remained abandoned for many years, until the 1980s when the house was finally restored. There are stories of Hells Angels driving their motorcycles up and down the dilapidated staircase. The house is open for guided tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Docents in period costume talk about the antique Victorian furnishings and decorative details. The English gardens are open during public hours. The museum hosts many Victorian events throughout the year.

Oscar "Ozzy" Lusth is a reality show contestant who first appeared on Survivor: Cook Islands. He finished as the 1st runner-up in a... 5–4–0 vote to Yul Kwon. Lusth later competed in Survivor: Micronesia as one of the returning favorites and then competed on the show for a third time in Survivor: South Pacific. He also appeared on the second American Ninja Warrior where he was eliminated on the obstacle, the Bridge of Blades. On Survivor: Cook Islands, Lusth was the longest-lasting contestant from the original Aitutaki tribe, and stayed an Aitutaki member even after the tribe switch. Dominant in swimming, agility and balance, he won five out of six individual immunity challenges. He was also very valuable in the tribal challenges, as he helped the Aitutaki tribe to win challenges. At the final Tribal Council, he was praised for his athletic skills, yet criticized for being somewhat of a loner. He finished in second place in a 5–4–0 vote, and was the first male runner-up in two years since the 8th season. Survivor: Micronesia was Lusth's second appearance on Survivor.

Rodney Bingenheimer, born December 15, 1947, is a radio disc jockey on the long-running Los Angeles rock station KROQ who is notable for helping... numerous iconic bands become successful in the American market. His contribution to the music business has been described as important. He developed a reputation for being the first American deejay to identify new artists and play "edgy new bands" such as Blondie, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, Guns N' Roses, Duran Duran, The Cure, Joan Jett, No Doubt, Blur, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, The Bangles, X, Coldplay and many others. He managed a key but now-defunct L.A. nightclub called Rodney Bingenheimer's English Disco in the early seventies. He was the subject of a documentary by late filmmaker George Hickenlooper entitled Mayor of the Sunset Strip which told the story of a groupie-turned-kingmaker with a knack for making friends in the music industry. He was described as a "famous groupie, now respectable" by Mick Jagger and he has numerous high-profile friends. In 2007, he was honored with the 2,330th star on Hollywood Boulevard.
