Nyayo National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located near the city centre. The stadium holds 30,000 people and was... built in 1983. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The popular AFC Leopards football club plays most of its home games at Nyayo stadium. The stadium is also used for athletics and various ceremonies. Other facilities at the Nyayo Stadium include a gymnasium and a 50-metre swimming pool. The completion of the Nyayo Stadium gave Kenya the opportunity to be placed in the category of nations that were invited to bid for the 4th All-Africa Games in 1987, a bid that was awarded to Kenya, giving it International status. In essence, the Nyayo Stadium "gave birth” to Moi International Sports Centre. The Nyayo Stadium is the host venue of the 2010 African Championships in Athletics. The stadium was renamed to the Coca Cola National Stadium after the multi-national company won the naming rights to the stadium in February 2009. The deal was worth USD 1.5 million and would have sees the beverage company do branding, marketing and naming rights to the whole stadium for three years.

Afraha Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nakuru, Kenya. It used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Nakuru AllStars of the FKF... Division One and Ulinzi Stars of the Kenyan Premier League. The stadium holds 8,200 people and opened in 1948. The stadium is two kilometres from the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. Even though it is a football stadium, it became famous for hosting many political meetings including the GEMA promoted change the constitution series held in 1970s. The former ruling party KANU also held many prominent meetings there during the Moi era.

Peter Gerald Hain is a British Labour Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament for the Welsh constituency of Neath since 1991, and... has served in the Cabinets of both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, firstly as Leader of the House of Commons under Blair and both Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Secretary of State for Wales under Brown. He resigned from ministerial office over the failure to declare donations to his campaign for the Deputy Leadership of the Labour Party in 2008. He is currently Shadow Welsh Secretary. He came to the UK from South Africa as a teenager, and was a noted anti-apartheid campaigner in the 1970s. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the ill-fated Alternative Vote system campaign in May 2011, together with his close friend and fellow former Young Liberal Richard Burden, M.P. Hain was born in the Kenya Colony, but moved to the Union of South Africa about a year later. His parents were anti-apartheid activists in the Liberal Party of South Africa, for which they were made "banned persons", briefly jailed, and prevented from working.

Kiran is often confused with Deep Roy; they are both dwarf Kenyan actors of Indian descent who got their starts in film and television in the late 70s.

He has credited his media career to his parents, his father being in the television industry and his mother being involved in the music industry. He began his career as a child actor at the age of ten in such films as The Fox and Secret Place. In 1976 he accompanied naturalist Mike Kendall in the BBC series Man and Boy, in which they searched the country for Britain's wildlife. King was born in Nairobi, Kenya to parents John King and Eve King . His father worked with the British Forces Broadcasting Service in Nairobi and later created and produced the antiques programme Going for a Song. They moved to Bristol in the United Kingdom in 1964. when John got a job as a reporter for the BBC's Points West news programme. When his parents separated when he was just nine years old, he lived with his mother and elder sister, Debbie King attended Henbury School from 1974 to 1979.

Born Mohinder Purba in Nairobi, Kenya to Indian parents, Roy is 4 ft 4 in tall. Because of his short stature, he has played a variety of unusual characters in his acting career. Roy made his professional screen acting debut in a 1976 episode of The New Avengers entitled "Target!" as character named Klokoe. He would later make his film debut that same year, in The Pink Panther Strikes Again, as the Italian Assassin. Another notable early role was as Mr. Sin, the "pig-brained Peking Homonculus", a villain with a distinct appetite for homicide, in the acclaimed Doctor Who story The Talons of Weng-Chiang. In 1979, Roy also played a genetically engineered life form 'Decima' in the 1st season Blake's 7 episode "The Web" as well as the diminutive chess genius, 'The Klute', in the 2nd season Blake's 7 episode "Gambit".

William Mervyn was an English actor best known for his portrayal of the Bishop in the clerical comedy All Gas and Gaiters. Mervyn was born in... Nairobi, Kenya, but educated in Britain before embarking on a stage career, spending five years in provincial theatre. He made his West End debut in The Guinea Pig at the Criterion Theatre in 1946, before parts in plays such as the comedy Ring Round the Moon, The Mortimer Touch, A Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde at the Savoy Theatre in 1953 and Charley's Aunt. Mervyn's later stage roles included those of O'Trigger in The Rivals, Lord Greenham in the comedy Aren't We All? and Sir Patrick Cullen in The Doctor's Dilemma. Although he was admired in the theatre, it was with television that he became really well known. One of his first major small screen roles was Sir Hector in the 1962 series Saki. Four years later, he played the Bishop of St. Ogg's in the comedy series All Gas and Gaiters. It was, at that time, breaking with tradition, allowing a laugh at the expense of the established church.

Gurinder Chadha , OBE, is a British film director of Indian origin. Most of her films explore the lives of Indians living in the United Kingdom. She... is best known for the hit films Bhaji on the Beach , Bend It Like Beckham , Bride and Prejudice and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging . Her most recent project is the comedy film It's a Wonderful Afterlife released on 21 April 2010. Gurinder Chadha was born in Nairobi. Her family was part of the Indian diaspora in East Africa. They moved to Southall, West London when she was two years of age, where she attended Clifton Primary School. After graduating from the University of East Anglia, Chadha attended the London College of Printing in 1984/85 and studied for a post-graduate diploma in radio journalism, following which she worked as a BBC Radio reporter. Chadha then began working in television, and moved into film production in 1993. She is married to Japanese-American filmmaker Paul Mayeda Berges, with whom she sometimes collaborates. They have twins, born in June 2007.

Jenny Funnell is a British actress best known for her role as Sandy in the British sitcom As Time Goes By . Funnell was born in Kenya, then still a... British colony, and has a twin sister. She moved to Britain when she was 4 years old, and initially started voice acting in radio drama while still a student at drama school, winning the Carleton Hobbs BBC Radio Drama Award in 1984. Her earliest television work was also in drama, including the British soap opera Brookside in 1985, the BBC police series Bergerac in 1988, and the episode "Peril at End House" in Series 2 of Agatha Christie's Poirot, on ITV in 1990. Funnell started taking on comedy parts in 1989, with an appearance in the comedy/drama Boon on ITV and a role in the television movie Norbert Smith: A Life. Other comedy roles for TV have included a guest appearance in the Channel 4 newsroom sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey and the romantic comedy Love Soup . She later did guest appearances in the ITV hospital drama The Royal , played two separate parts in the BBC's medical drama Doctors , and appeared in the ITV police series The Bill .
