Nanaimo

Allison Louise Crowe is a Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist from Nanaimo, British Columbia who lives in Corner Brook, Newfoundland... and Labrador, communities spanning the breadth of Canada. Crowe records on her own record label, Rubenesque Records Ltd. and releases her original music under Creative Commons licensing. Allison Crowe began performing professionally in 1996, at age 15, doing regular sets in the coffee-houses and bars of Vancouver Island. Crowe's recording debut came in 2001, with an EP subsequently reissued as Lisa’s Song + 6 Songs. Her first full-length albums, Secrets and Tidings, were released in 2004, when Crowe was 22. Allison Crowe: Live at Wood Hall, a double concert album, was released in July 2005. A DVD featuring live-in-the-studio performances of Tidings songs was created for her fan club in November 2005. Crowe, of Scottish, Irish, and Manx descent, grew up surrounded by jazz, classical and rock music, and discovered additional influences on her own such as Ani DiFranco, Pearl Jam, Tori Amos and Counting Crows.

Justin Chatwin is a Canadian film and television actor. Chatwin was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, to an artist mother and an engineer father.... He was raised Catholic. His film roles include War of the Worlds, The Invisible, the independent film The Chumscrubber, SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2, Taking Lives, Dragonball: Evolution, and the Canadian film Funkytown. Chatwin has also been in several television shows, including the miniseries, Taken and Lost . He played the son of Kevin Nealon's character on the Showtime comedy series Weeds pilot. In summer 2010, Chatwin was cast as a series regular on the Showtime dramedy Shameless, portraying Steve/Jimmy Lishman. The second season premiered on January 8, 2012.

Christopher Hart is a Canadian actor and magician, famous for playing Thing, the disembodied hand, in the 1991, 1993, and 1998 movies, The Addams... Family, Addams Family Values, and Addams Family Reunion. Christopher was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia to an English mother and Canadian father, was raised and educated in Catholic schools in Los Angeles. At the age of 8 he became intrigued after discovering a magic book at the local library. It was at this same time that the television series “The Magician” starring Bill Bixby was on the air and further fueled his passion for magic. At sixteen, after an extensive audition and interview process, Christopher was accepted into the Magic Castle’s elite junior program. As a teenager, Hart earned extra money working in a cemetery as a grave digger and was nicknamed Lurch due to his tall, lanky frame. Soon realizing that it was a dead-end job, Christopher accepted a position demonstrating tricks at Hollywood Magic, the largest West Coast magic shop. Working in Hollywood gave Christopher the opportunity to meet and perform before the likes of Michael Jackson, Johnny Carson, Muhammad Ali, and Harry Anderson.

Jodelle Micah Ferland is a Canadian actress, best known for her portrayal of Sharon and Alessa in the 2006 horror film Silent Hill, Mary Jensen in... the 2004 miniseries Kingdom Hospital and her portrayal of Bree Tanner in the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Ferland was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, the daughter of Valerie and Marc Ferland. Her siblings are actress Marisha Ferland and musician Jeremy Ferland. She is of Austrian, British, and French descent. Ferland started her career in commercials at the age of two. She made her movie debut at age 4 in the TV-movie Mermaid, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, making her the youngest nominee in Emmy history. She has since made guest appearances in several televisions series, including Stargate Atlantis, Dark Angel, Stargate SG-1, Smallville and Supernatural, and has appeared in films including They and Trapped. In 2005, she starred in the Terry Gilliam drama Tideland, for which she received a Genie Award nomination in the Best Actress category.
