The John Rabe House , located at Xiaofenqiao No. 1 in Nanjing, was where John Rabe, former Siemens China Representative and Chairman of the... International Committee for the Nanking Safety Zone, resided from 1932 to 1938. Today it accommodates the “John Rabe and International Safety Zone Memorial Hall” and the “John Rabe Research and Exchange Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.” The John Rabe House is located in the center of Nanjing, on the campus of Nanjing University. John Rabe stayed here during the Nanking Massacre and protected more than 600 Chinese refugees in this house, and within its garden, from Japanese persecution. It was also in this house where he wrote the famous “Diaries of John Rabe” For almost half a century, Rabe's former residence in Nanking received little recognition until its location was publicized by the publication of Rabe's diaries in December 1996 by his granddaughter Ursula Reinhardt. When German president Johannes Rau visited Nanjing University in 2003, he expressed concern about the dilapidated condition of John Rabe’s former residence.

He has also contributed to the Huayi Chinese Festival of Arts at the Esplanade, Singapore, and provided vocals for the song "A Walk In the Park" on Cowboy Junkies 2010 album Renmin Park. Di Wu is a Chinese pianist. Born into a musical family in Nanjing, Jiangsu, Di Wu entered Beijing's Central Conservatory of Music at age 12. She... made her professional debut at age 14 with the Beijing Philharmonic, and has since toured widely to positive reviews. In 1999, Wu came to the United States to continue her music studies, first with Zenon Fishbein at the Manhattan School of Music, then with Gary Graffman at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia from 2000 to 2005. Wu earned a Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School under Yoheved Kaplinsky, and in 2009, she received an Artist Diploma under the guidance of Joseph Kalichstein and Robert McDonald. Wu has toured widely in Asia, Europe and the United States, where she has performed with prominent musicians such as Christoph Eschenbach and the Curtis Symphony Orchestra; Charles Dutoit and the Philadelphia Orchestra; James Conlon and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; Miguel Harth-Bedoya and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra; and Simone Young and the Philharmoniker Hamburg.

Lynn Hung , sometimes credited as her birth name Xiong Dailin, is a Chinese model and actress. Hung was born in Nanjing, China with family roots in... Guizhou, China. She later studied costume design and performing arts at Soochow University. In 1999, Hung developed her career in Shanghai and became the second runner-up in the "China National Model Competition". In 2002 she received the "Best Fashion Model" and the "China Top Ten Models" awards. In recent years, Hung went to Hong Kong and started her acting career in the award-winning film Ip Man starring alongside Donnie Yen. She later appeared in films such as All's Well, Ends Well 2010 and Ip Man 2. She has also acted in Material Queen alongside Vanness Wu in 2011.
