Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China. Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was established in October 1952. In Chinese, the university name is sometimes shortened to Nanhang, or 南航, meaning Nanjing Astronautics. The University is one of China's leading universities on research and education. It is regarded as one of the top engineering universities in China and also has a great influence on China's aeronautical and astronautical industry. At present, it has two campuses: Minggugong Campus ... and JiangjunluCampus , covering an area of 173 hectares with a building floor space of 650,000 square meters. The school was founded in October 1952, as the Nanjing College of Aviation Industry. In 1956 it was renamed as Nanjing Aeronautical Institute, and, in 1993 as the current name, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
