Pierre Lamond focuses on semiconductor, systems and software investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1981, Pierre was a founder and technical director of National Semiconductor and the general manager of Fairchild's Integrated Circuit Division. He has also been the president of Advent, a... consumer electronics company and Coherent, a manufacturer of lasers.  Mr. Lamond is a past president of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists. Mr. Lamond is a Partner at Sequoia Capital and focuses on components, software and systems investments.  Mr. Lamond is a Director of Barcelona Design, Santur, Tera Systems, Open Silicon and Mellanox.  He is also working with T-Networks.  Mr. Lamond has been the Chairman of Vitesse Semiconductor , Redback Networks , Plumtree Software , Verisity Design , Cypress Semiconductor , Microchip , Combichem and a Director of VitalSigns Software , Convex Computer and the MarchFirst .

E. Floyd Kvamme is a Partner Emeritus at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a high-technology venture capital firm and, presently, serves on six high tech company boards including National Semiconductor, Harmonic, and Power Integrations. Since 2001, Kvamme has served as Co-Chair of President... Bush's Council of Advisors in Science and Technology, . He helped found National in 1967, serving as general manager of Semiconductor Operations. In 1982, he became executive vice president of Sales and Marketing for Apple Computer. He holds a BSEE from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MSE in semiconductor electronics from Syracuse University.
