Tom Mendoza is a business executive. He joined NetApp, Inc. in 1994 as its first sales executive. He served as its President from 2000 until 2008... until he was promoted to Vice Chairman. Mr. Mendoza has more than 31 years as a high technology executive and has served in an advisory capacity on the board of directors of Netscreen , Rhapsody and currently serves on the board of Infoblox. He holds a BA in Economics from Notre Dame, and is an alumnus of Stanford University's Executive Business Program and is a guest lecturer at both institutions. In September 2000, the University of Notre Dame renamed their business school the Mendoza College of Business based upon an endowment from Tom and his wife, Kathy. Tom Mendoza has been a key contributor to NetApp's rapid growth and helped establish the culture that allowed them to be ranked #1 in Fortune Magazine’s "100 Best Companies To Work For" for 2009.
