Brandon Meriweather is an American football safety for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. He was drafted by the New England Patriots 24th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Miami. Meriweather's mother gave birth to him when she was 13... years old. Meriweather started living with his adopted parents at age 11. Meriweather attended Apopka High School in Apopka, Florida where he helped lead his school to the Florida Class 6A state championship as a senior in 2001. He started as a kick returner, returning four kicks for touchdowns as a senior. He also lettered in track and basketball. Meriweather went on to play college football at the University of Miami. In 2002, Meriweather played in three games and had three total tackles before injuring his ankle. Per guidelines, he was given a medical redshirt by the NCAA. In 2003, Meriweather played the majority of the season on special teams and in different nickel and dime packages. He got his first start against West Virginia as a nickel back. He finished the year with 22 tackles, one interception and five pass break-ups.

Laurence Maroney is an American football running back who is currently a free agent in the National Football League. He was drafted by the New England Patriots 21st overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Minnesota. Maroney attended Normandy Senior High School in St. Louis,... Missouri, where he gained four varsity letters in football, three in track, two in basketball, and one in baseball. In basketball, he was twice named team MVP; in track, he placed fifth at the state meet in the 200-meter dash, and third in the 100-meter dash as a senior. Maroney holds Normandy High School's single season rushing record, with 1,903 yards in 2002. At the University of Minnesota, he split duties with Marion Barber III in 2003 and 2004 and then with Gary Russell in 2005. As such, he started only 14 of 36 games, but still became the first Golden Gopher and the third in Big Ten Conference history to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons. He gained a total of 3,933 yards with the Golden Gophers and was a two time All-Big Ten First Team selection .

Logan Lee Mankins is an American football guard for the New England Patriots of the National Football League . He was drafted by the Patriots in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Mankins was born in Catheys Valley, California. He attended Mariposa... High School in Mariposa, California, where he was an All-League performer and the team MVP. After graduating from high school, he attended Fresno State University, where he redshirted in his first season in 2000. As a freshman in 2001, he started all 14 games at left tackle, blocking for quarterback David Carr and allowing only two sacks. He was named to the first team Freshman All-American team by the Sporting News. In 2002, he again started all 14 games and was on the Outland Trophy watch list. As a junior in 2003, Mankins tore his ACL in preseason practices after a vicious hit from Juan Carrasquillo and missed the season. In his final season in 2004, Mankins returned to start every game at left tackle and did not allow a sack or pressure on the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Broncos won the first-ever American Football League game over the Boston Patriots, 13–10, on September 9, 1960. On August 5, 1967, they became the first ever AFL team to defeat an NFL team after beating the Detroit Lions, 13–7, in a preseason game. However, the Broncos were largely not successful in the 1960s, compiling a record of 39–97–4 in the league.
