With delightful ease and facility, the All-stars bring ragtime favorites like "Struttin' With Some Barbecue," "Basin Street Blues," and "My Bucket's Got a Hole in It" back to life nearly 30 years after their initial popularity. Many of Armstrong's recordings with the All-Stars relied on a commercial repertoire of show tunes and pop standards, but NEW ORLEANS NIGHTS is a preferable alternative.
