Devin Garret Townsend is a Canadian musician and record producer. He was the founder, songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist in extreme metal band... Strapping Young Lad from 1994 to 2007 and has had an extensive career as a solo artist. After performing in a number of metal bands in high school, Townsend was discovered by a record label in 1993 and was asked to perform lead vocals on Steve Vai's album Sex & Religion. After recording and touring with Vai, Townsend was discouraged by what he found in the music industry, and vented his anger on a solo album released under the pseudonym Strapping Young Lad. He soon assembled a band under the name, and released the critically acclaimed City in 1997. Since then, he has released three more studio albums with Strapping Young Lad, along with solo material released under his own independent record label, HevyDevy Records. Townsend's solo albums, a diverse mix of hard rock and progressive metal, have featured a varying lineup of supporting musicians. In 2002 he formed The Devin Townsend Band, a dedicated lineup which recorded and toured for two of his solo releases.

Nicholas Lea is a Canadian actor best known for his portrayal of Alex Krycek on The X-Files and on Kyle XY playing Tom Foss. Lea was born in New... Westminster, British Columbia. He attended Prince of Wales Secondary School . His first major role was on the TV series The Commish where he played Officer Enrico Caruso from 1991 to 1994. It was during this time that he had a minor guest role in a first-season episode of The X-Files called "Gender Bender". The producers were impressed by his performance and when, in the second season, he auditioned for the role of turncoat FBI agent Alex Krycek, he was successful. Lea guest starred in eleven episodes from 1994 to 1996 and became a popular character amongst the fans. Because of his character's willingness to switch sides, he was known as the 'ratboy'. In the season three episode "Apocrypha," Krycek was left to die in an abandoned missile silo with an alien ship. This allowed Lea to take a starring role in the series Once a Thief — which followed on from the 1996 John Woo film — alongside Ivan Sergei. The series was cancelled after one season.

Byron Stroud is the former bassist for metal band Fear Factory and Strapping Young Lad. and current bassist for metal bands 3 Inches Of Blood, City... of Fire and Zimmers Hole. Byron Stroud has been involved in the Vancouver heavy music scene since the 1980s. His first serious band was Caustic Thought, who were formed in 1987, when he was only eighteen years old. The band also featured Jed Simon and Devin Townsend. Following Caustic Thought he made his way to Front Line Assembly, joining them on the Hard Wired tour as a drum tech. Then he enrolled himself in the lineup for Strapping Young Lad. He currently has one nephew and one niece. Although he was a staple member of Strapping Young Lad at the time, he joined Fear Factory as a full time member in 2004. He made his Fear Factory debut on their 2004 album Archetype . Byron insisted his allegiance remained with both bands, as well as with Zimmers Hole, a somewhat comedic band he plays in with fellow Strapping Young Lad musician Jed Simon amongst others.

Brendan Jacob Joel Fehr is a Canadian-American film and television actor. He portrayed Michael Guerin on the WB television series Roswell and... Laboratory Tech Dan Cooper in CSI: Miami. Fehr recently played Jake Stanton in the ABC mini-series drama Samurai Girl. Fehr was born in New Westminster, British Columbia to a mother who worked as a correctional case manager and a father who was a yacht manufacturer. He moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1990, and was raised a strict Mennonite. He graduated in 1995 from Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute. Fehr's modeled for the Levi's, Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani, DKNY Jeans and his pictures appeared in magazines. In 1996 he was cast in an early Internet soap opera, CR6. He broke into television in 1997 when he was cast in Breaker High. In 2001, Fehr starred in the U2 video "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of". He plays a rookie football player named Paul Hewson , who blows what would have been the game winning kick in an American football game as the ball hit the goal post. He appeared in Vanessa Carlton's video "Pretty Baby".

Alexzandra Spencer "Alexz" Johnson is a Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and philanthropist. Her debut album Voodoo was... independently released in 2010, followed by the demo release The Basement Recordings in 2011, with its sequel The Basement Recordings II and EP, Skipping Stone out in 2012, retrospectively. She is best known for her roles as Jude Harrison in the CTV series Instant Star, as Annie Thelan in the Disney Channel series So Weird, and as Erin Ulmer in the 2006 horror film Final Destination 3. She was nominated three times for a Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series , winning the award in 2008. Johnson was born in New Westminster, British Columbia and raised in nearby Coquitlam, the sixth of ten children. One of her sisters is a stage actress, and her brother Brendan is a musician with whom she often collaborates. From age three, Johnson would frequently sing for her large extended family. By age seven, she was receiving vocal training, participating in festivals with her local youth choir, and giving solo performances at school and community functions.
