Vernon Gholston is an American football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted sixth overall by the New York Jets in the 2008 NFL Draft. Gholston emerged as one of the top prospects in the Midwest after registering 75 tackles, including six sacks, and earning an All-State selection as an offensive guard. Gholston redshirted in 2005 after suffering a broken left hand in the season opener. In his freshman season he played defensive end, though recruited as a linebacker. He eventually moved up to the number 2 spot behind Mike Kudla. In 2006 he earned Second-team All-Big Ten honors from both the league's coaches and the media while starting 13 games. Gholston had 49 tackles and his 18 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, which led the team, included 7.5 quarterback sacks, ranked second on the team. He also intercepted his first pass in the win over Bowling Green.

Dustin Kendall Keller is an American football tight end for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Jets 30th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Purdue. He played high school football at Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana. While... at Jefferson, Dustin was a three sport standout in football, basketball, and track. During his senior year at Lafayette Jefferson High School he was the state's leading wide receiver in football, was second team All-State as a small forward in basketball, and he was the high jump state champion in Indiana, clearing 6'9" in a steady rain after coming second to Philadelphia 76er's Rodney Carney with a jump of 6'10". Keller was named one of top 50 receivers in nation by Street & Smith's and first team all-state as senior after setting state records with 113 receptions and 1,804 yards with 22 touchdowns. He was a finalist for Mr. Football. Keller was expected to sign with the University of Toledo and had actually verbally committed. Darrelle Shavar Revis is an American football cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League . Revis was drafted in the first round by the Jets in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. He also completed a 39 yard pass, had a reception, and an interception in the game. In his junior and senior years of high school he led Aliquippa to WPIAL basketball championships, leading the team in scoring both years, culminating with a 25.

On August 5, 1967, they became the first ever AFL team to defeat an NFL team after beating the Detroit Lions 13–7, in a preseason game. However, the Broncos were not successful in the 1960s, compiling a record of 39–97–4 in the league.
