The Church of the Open Word is an historic Swedenborgian church building located at 19 Highland Avenue in the village of Newtonville, in Newton,... Massachusetts. The congregation was organized in 1860 and a wooden chapel was erected on the rear of this property. The stone Gothic Revival building was erected on the front of the property in 1893. The Swedenborgian Church of North America is headquartered here.

The Newton City Hall and War Memorial is an historic building located at 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, in the village of Newton Centre in Newton,... Massachusetts. Built in 1932 in the Colonial Revival style, it was designed by noted Boston architects Allen and Collens who had designed many university buildings as well as Second Church in Newton 1916, Lindsey Chapel in Boston 1919 and the Riverside Church in New York City 1928-1930 and who later designed The Cloisters also in New York City. Its landscaping was designed by the renowned Olmsted Brothers On February 16, 1990, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Jackson Homestead, located at 527 Washington Street, in the village of Newton Corner, in Newton, Massachusetts, is an historic house that served... as a station on the Underground Railroad before the Civil War. It was built in 1809 in the Federal style by Timothy Jackson on his family's farm. His son William Jackson lived in it from 1820 until his death. William Jackson was an abolitionist and was active in politics on the local, state and national levels and served in the United States Congress from 1833 to 1837. The home was occupied by his family until 1932 when it was rented out. In 1949 it was given to the city of Newton and in 1950 the Newton History Museum was established there. Edward Jackson was born in 1602, in the East End of London. Like his father, he was a nailmaker, and amassed a small fortune so that shortly after his arrival in New England, around 1642, he was able to purchase a house with several acres of land on Newton Corner. He would eventually become the largest landowner in Newton.

He has also had a successful film career appearing in several films including Away We Go, Leatherheads, License to Wed, Something Borrowed, and It's Complicated. Krasinski was born in Newton, Massachusetts, the son of a Polish-American father, internist Dr. Ronald Krasinski, and an Irish-American mother, Mary Clare . He has two older brothers, Kevin and Paul, and was raised Roman Catholic. Before entering college, Krasinski taught English in Costa Rica. From there, he went to Brown University, studying theatre arts with Lowry Marshall and John Emigh, and graduating in 2001 as a playwright with an honors thesis titled "Contents Under Pressure". During his time at Brown, he was a member of the sketch comedy group Out of Bounds. In college, he also helped coach youth basketball at The Gordon School in East Providence, Rhode Island. He then attended the National Theater Institute in Waterford, Connecticut.

Mike Mangini is an American drummer, and the current drummer for the progressive metal band Dream Theater. He has played for Annihilator, Extreme,... James LaBrie, and Steve Vai, among others. He lectured at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and is also known for his work as a session musician. At his height from 2002–2005, Mangini was famous for setting five World's Fastest Drummer records. He also has written two books titled Rhythm Knowledge about his drumming techniques, a practice method for deconstructing and simplifying complex polyrhythms and time signatures. Mangini appeared on the Discovery Channel show Time Warp, displaying his drum skills for high speed cameras. In 2010 Mangini joined Dream Theater, after the departure of founding drummer Mike Portnoy. Mike Mangini started playing the drums when he was five years old. He would practice six to ten hours a day and by the time he was nine he was already mimicking Buddy Rich performances. By high school, he was performing in school bands and participating in the prestigious All-County, All-State, and all Eastern United States ensembles.
