Niagara Falls Public Library, also known as the Carnegie Library in order to distinguish it from the new Earl W. Brydges Library, is a historic... library located at Niagara Falls in Niagara County, New York. It was designed and built in 1902–1904, with funds provided by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. It is one of 2,500 such libraries constructed between 1883 and 1929, and one of 107 in New York State. The structure cost $50,000 to build and opened in April 1904. It is a low one-story brick structure. The interior features elaborate plaster moldings and trim, marble steps, and pale skylights. The building functioned as a library until March 9, 1974 when the library's collections outgrew the small building and were moved to the new Earl W. Brydges Building at 1425 Main Street, and is now occupied by the offices of Niagara Falls Urban Renewal Agency, along with other city departments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The former U.S. Customhouse in Niagara Falls, New York was a Custom House for the United States' side of the Niagara River. It was built in 1863 and... served served inspectors for the Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge, Niagara Cantilever Bridge, Whirlpool Rapids Bridge, and Michigan Central Railway Bridge at various points in its history. With Niagara Falls receiving the second highest amounts of American imports at one point, the customhouse was once a very busy post for its inspectors. Remaining in a US Customs capacity until the 1960s, it was sold to several different commercial owners before it was abandoned in 1998. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, the building is now owned by the city of Niagara Falls 2003. State and local governments plan on building a new multi-million dollar intermodal transportation center utilizing the original Custom House along with modern additions. Slated to become the Niagara Falls International Railway Station, the rebuilding project consists of three phases, with a total estimated cost of $44 million. Construction on the project began in August 2010 and in October 2010, the US Department of Transportation released $16.

Johann Williams Farm is a historic farmhouse and related outbuildings located at Niagara Falls in Niagara County, New York. It is a two story frame... dwelling built originally in the mid-1840s by Johann Williams, an immigrant to the area from Bergholtz, Prussia. The original square, half timber structure was added to during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The property includes a number of notable farm outbuildings. When originally nominated, it was the last farm operating within the Niagara Falls city limits. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is a half-mile north of Love Canal.

Barbara Frum, OC was a Canadian radio and television journalist, acclaimed for her interviews for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Her son,... David Frum is a political journalist. Barbara Frum was born Barbara Rosberg in Niagara Falls, New York, the oldest of three children of Harold Rosberg and Florence Hirschowitz Rosberg. Frum’s father, who was born in Kielce, Poland and emigrated to Canada as a child with his parents in 1913, was the proprietor of Rosberg’s Department Store in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Frum's mother was born in New York City, and moved to Canada in 1935, the year she got married. Frum grew up across the river in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She studied history at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with a BA in 1959. In 1957, she married Toronto dentist Murray Frum, who later became a real estate developer. They had two children and adopted a third, an aboriginal child. After her graduation, Frum undertook volunteer work in the community, and began writing for the Toronto Star as a freelancer, specializing in social-issues stories.

Adkisson held forty championships in various promotions during his career. Among other accolades, he was a five-time world champion: a four-time WCWA World Heavyweight Champion and one-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and a one-time WWF Intercontinental Champion. Kerry was the son of wrestler Fritz Von Erich. His brothers, David, Kevin, Mike, and Chris, were also wrestlers. Kerry was also a standout in high school track and field and possessed a record-breaking discus throw. He debuted in his father's promotion, NWA Texas/Big Time Wrestling on June 17, 1979 against Gary Hart. In Big Time Wrestling, he held many Texas Tag Team and American Tag Team titles.

He was shown on-camera for a number of game and comedy shows, and played ex-con guitarist Tommy Marinucci, a member of Happy Kyne's Mirth-Makers, in the talk-show spoof Fernwood 2 Night. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Tedesco made his way to the U.S. West Coast where he became one of the most-sought-after studio guitarists between the 1960s and 1980s. Although Tedesco was primarily a guitar player, he also played the mandolin, ukulele, and the sitar as well as 28 other stringed instruments . Tedesco was described by Guitar Player magazine as the most recorded guitarist in history, having played on thousands of recordings, many of which were top-20 hits.

He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft and played for them from 2005–2008. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in April 2009 and played for them from 2009–2010 before a neck injury ended his career. Hobbs shares the NFL record for the longest kickoff return with Randall Cobb, a feat he accomplished on September 9, 2007 in a game against the New York Jets. Hobbs attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, where he was a standout in football and track. In track, he participated on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams and the long jump. In football, he starred at cornerback as well as running back; he ran for 1,701 yards on 233 carries with 29 touchdowns and caught 18 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Hobbs was just seven credits short of graduating when he entered the NFL, and in 2009 he completed his degree and graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in art and design.

The season began airing on August 22, 2005, culminating in a live finale between the final two fighters of each weight division, held in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 5, 2005. At 5 feet 11 inches and 225 pounds , Evans was the shortest and the second-lightest of the nine heavyweight competitors.

Julie Gregg is an American television, film and stage actress. She generally played supporting or guest, but not lead, roles. She is best known for... her portrayal of Sandra Corleone in The Godfather. Very little information is available on her personal life. Gregg's first television role was in 1964 as a nurse in McHale's Navy. She guest starred in many television shows in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, in both dramatic and comic roles. For example, she twice appeared on Bewitched, in two different guest roles. The first was in "Double Split," episode no. 62 in season 2, 1966, and the second in 1967 during season 3, episode no. 99, "The Crone of Cawdor." In the latter show, she played Terry Warbell, a magic crone, who stole the youth of people when she kissed them, which she tried with Darrin Stevens, but which ultimately failed. She had a recurring role in Banyon, an NBC detective series that aired from 1972-73. Banyon was a period drama starring Robert Forster set in Los Angeles in the late 1930s.

Charles Cyphers is an American actor who has starred in many films and on television. He is known in the horror movie community for his work in the... films of John Carpenter, especially his role as Sheriff Leigh Brackett in Carpenter's 1978 hit horror movie Halloween. He reprised this role in the 1981 sequel Halloween II. He is not related to actor Jon Cypher, alongside whom he played in Hill Street Blues. Cyphers's first feature film was the 1974 movie Truck Turner, and he first worked with Carpenter in the 1976 action film Assault on Precinct 13, in which he played Starker, one of the ill-fated police officers gunned down by gang members. After appearing in Halloween in 1978, Cyphers worked with Carpenter two years later, playing Dan O'Bannon in The Fog, a 1980 horror film which also starred Tom Atkins, Cyphers's fellow Halloween cast member Jamie Lee Curtis, his Assault on Precinct 13 co-star Darwin Joston, and Nancy Kyes, who worked with Cyphers in both Assault on Precinct 13 and Halloween. He then played the Secretary of State in Carpenter's popular 1981 film Escape from New York, in which he appeared with Atkins and Halloween actress Nancy Stephens.
