The Portal of the Folded Wings Shrine to Aviation is in Burbank, California. The shrine is a 75-foot-tall structure of marble, mosaic and sculpted... figures, and is the burial site for 13 pioneers of aviation. It was built in 1924 as the entrance to Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery. Aviation enthusiast James Gillette was impressed by the Rotunda's close proximity to the airport and Lockheed Aircraft Company. He conceived a plan to use the structure as a shrine to aviation and worked to that end for two decades. It was dedicated in 1953 by aviation enthusiasts who wanted a final resting place for pilots, mechanics and other pioneers of flight. Dedicated to the honored dead of American aviation on the 50th anniversary of powered flight, December 17, 1953, by Lieutenant General Ira C. Eaker USAF . Beneath the memorial tablets in this sacred portal rest the cremated remains of famous flyers who contributed so much to the history and development of aviation. The bronze plaques upon the marble walls memorialize beloved Americans who devoted their lives to the advancement of the air age.

Nancy Dow is an American actress who appeared in a brief group of films. She was married to Greek-American actor John Aniston with whom she had a... daughter, actress Jennifer Aniston . Nancy Dow was born in New York City, one of six daughters of Louise and Gordon McLean Dow. Her maternal grandfather, Louis Grieco, was an Italian immigrant; her other ancestry includes Scottish-Canadian, English, and Irish. Dow was married to Jack Melick, a pianist-bandleader based in Dallas, Texas, from 1956 to 1961. They had a son, John Melick. Dow and her daughter were estranged for nine years, largely because Dow wrote a book about their relationship, entitled From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir . In 2005, after Aniston's divorce from Brad Pitt, she and her mother reportedly reconciled. Aniston described the progress of her new relationship with her mother as "baby steps".

Corbin Dean Bernsen is an American actor and director, known for his work on television. He is best known for his roles as divorce attorney Arnold... Becker on the NBC drama series L.A. Law, and as retired police detective Henry Spencer on the USA Network comedy-drama series Psych. He has also appeared regularly on other shows, including General Hospital and Cuts. Bernsen was born in North Hollywood, California, to Harry Bernsen, a Hollywood producer, and veteran soap actress Jeanne Cooper, who appears on The Young and the Restless. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1972. Bernsen is also a "double Bruin," having received both a BA in Theatre Arts and an MFA in Playwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles . After a two-year appearance on the soap opera, Ryan's Hope, Bernsen was awarded the role as lawyer Arnold Becker on the hit Steven Bochco television series, L.A. Law in 1986. The role earned him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, appearances on dozens of magazine covers, and guest-starring roles on shows such as Seinfeld and The Larry Sanders Show. He was one of the few actors to remain on L.A.

Karin Jan Smithers is an American television and film actress best known for playing Bailey Quarters on the television series WKRP in Cincinnati.... Smithers grew up in Woodland Hills, California. She attended William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills. She first reached the public eye as a teenager, when she was featured on the March 21, 1966, cover of Newsweek, seated on a motorcycle. As a teen, Smithers was the victim of a car accident that left a permanent scar on her chin. To avoid another car that had run a stop sign, Smithers swerved and hit a telephone pole. The impact smashed her face into the steering wheel, causing the injury. The scar cost her some roles and, according to her, made her feel insecure about her looks. She was married to Kipp Whitman from 1 December 1971 to 1972, when they divorced. From 1986 to 1995, she was married to actor James Brolin. They had one daughter together. Although she had been living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and had retired from show business, she now lives in Ojai, California.

Thomas Herman Adcox is an American actor and voice actor, perhaps best known for his roles as Brian in the prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest and the... voices of Felix the Cat in The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat and Lexington on Gargoyles. In Thomas' first audition for a TV show, the casting director said; "Oh my God, that voice! You've got to do something with that voice!". He took her advice and did a lot with his voice. Her more notable roles include the Klingon officer Vixis in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and the assassin Patrice in Buffy the Vampire Slayer story "What's My Line". Originally involved in music and dance, she switched to acting, focusing on action roles which often featured stuntwork, making use of her martial arts and athletics skills. She has also worked as a stunt coordinator, choreographing fight scenes for television and film, including Miller Lite's controversial 2002 commercial "Catfight". Williams-Crosby took up personal fitness at the age of 26, including bodybuilding and nutrition.
