Oakie Doke was a children's television programme that was broadcast from September 1995 until December 1996 on the BBC. It was produced by Cosgrove Hall Productions and was shown in stop motion animation. The show ran for two series, each containing 14 episodes. A friendly folk called Oakie Doke A Mole family - Manny, Marcia, Marcus Mole and Mrs Mole A family of Mice - Grandad Albert, Rose, Root, Snoot and Hickory A Toad family - Moses, Neptune, Abel and Grannie Annie who pushed around a bowl containing two tadpoles, on a pram A Hedgehog family - Mum, Lizzie, Libby and Shrimp A Squirrel... family - Rufus, Mrs Squirrel and Hazel Two mischievous gray squirrels called Dave and Denzil Oakie Doke was a character who lived in an oak tree. He wore an acorn on his head and an Oak leaf, which covered his upper body. His skin was a light green and he had distinctive rosy cheeks. He was a friendly character and a well-respected member of the forest. At the start of the show, one of his friends would ring a bell at the bottom of his tree, which would wake him up. He would then ride a slide that wound round the trunk of the tree to the bottom. The episode then began.
