Ocala

Fort King was a United States military fort in north central Florida. It was named after Colonel William King, commander of Florida's Fourth... Infantry and the first governor of the provisional West Florida region. The fort was built in 1827, and became the genesis of the city of Ocala. Located near the corner of East Fort King Street and 39th Avenue in Ocala, the site is a U.S. National Historic Landmark . Archaeological investigations have indicated that the area was inhabited prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the area. At least two periods of occupation have been identified: between 6500 and 2000 B.C., and 200 to 1500 A.D. Fort King was constructed in 1827 as a buffer between the Seminoles and whites settling in the region. It sat at the nexus of a system of military roads. The Ocala Union Station is a historic site in Ocala, Florida, United States. It is located at 531 Northeast First Avenue, and was built in 1917 by... both the Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line Railroads. Prior to this, ACL and SAL had separate depots in Ocala. The former ACL station was originally built by the Florida Southern Railroad, while the former SAL station was built by the Florida Transit and Peninsular Railroad. On December 22, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The station served as a stop for Amtrak's Palmetto service until 2004, using the Seaboard Air Line's former tracks, now part of the Wildwood Subdivision, a segment of the CSX S-Line. The former Atlantic Coast Line tracks are now part of Florida Northern Railroad. Greyhound, and Ocala's SunTran bus service still use the station to this day. The Shuttleliner bus service offers hourly nonstops to Orlando International Airport from the station.

Daniel Santos was a singer and composer of boleros, and an overall performer of multiple Caribbean music genres, including guaracha, plena and... rumba. Over the course of his career he adopted several names created by the public and became known as "El Jefe" and "El Inquieto Anacobero". Santos was born and raised with his three sisters, Sara, Rosa Lydia and Luz America in Trastalleres, a poor section of Santurce, Puerto Rico. He attended Las Palmitas Elementary School. Although he was doing well in school his father Rosendo took him out of school when he was in the fourth grade and forced him to shine shoes because of his family's poverty. In 1924, his family moved to New York City looking for a better way of life. When his parents, Rosendo and Maria enrolled him in school, he had to start from the first grade again because he did not know enough English. Santos joined his high school's choir, but he dropped out of high school in his second year and moved out of his parents' apartment. When he was fifteen years old he began looking for work in Manhattan.

Before beginning his musical career in the late 1990s, he was a professional... wrestler in World Championship Wrestling , until an injury forced him to retire. Brock signed to Warner Bros. Records' Nashville division in the late 1990s, releasing three studio albums — 1999's Chad Brock, 2000's Yes!, and 2001's III — for WB. Those albums, overall, produced seven singles on the Billboard country music charts, including the number-one hit "Yes!" and the Top Five "Ordinary Life". Brock parted company with Warner Bros. in 2002, and signed to Broken Bow Records a year later; although he released five singles for them , his album for Broken Bow was not released, and he left that label as well. Brock also began a career in the late 2000s as a disc jockey at WQYK-FM in Tampa, Florida, where he and parody singer Cledus T. Judd co-host a morning show. Chad Brock was born July 31, 1963 in Ocala, Florida. In high school, Brock played football and was offered a post-secondary scholarship to play sports.

Mullins was approached to wrestling by Lou Maggio in 2007. Maggio had been a judge at both the 2005 and 2006 Miss Hooters International pageant. Her idol growing up was Stone Cold Steve Austin. She was named to the HOOTERS Hall of Fame in 2008 which would go online in 2009. Mullins also appeared in a bikini.com pillow fight that first aired on YouTube in June 2008 which featured three other Hooters girls. In an interview with CW11 News, along with two other "Hooters Girls", Mullins announced that she had signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Mark Christopher Collier is an American actor. A native of Ocala, Florida, Collier made his stage debut at the age of 10 wearing red tights and a... burlap sack portraying the leader of the children in The Children's Crusade. In high school, Collier excelled in wrestling and soccer. Collier attended Georgia Southern University where he joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity and was torn between Psychology, Public Relations and Accounting. After changing his major several times he earned his degree in Accounting in 1993. In 1998 Collier moved to Los Angeles and to pursue an acting career. While juggling three jobs as a bouncer, waiter, and Pilates instructor, he continued studying acting and became involved with the Blue Sphere Alliance Theatre Company. Collier always credits those years in the theatre as the most valuable in his growth as an actor. Collier's break came in 2002 when he was offered the role as rebel turned good guy Mike Kasnoff on the long running CBS daytime drama As the World Turns. In 2003 he garnered a Soap Opera Digest nomination for Outstanding Newcomer.

Patrick O'Neal was an American television, stage and film actor. He was also a successful New York restaurateur. O'Neal was born in Ocala, Florida... to Martha and Coke Wisdom O'Neal. He was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville. During World War II, he directed short training films while in the Air Force. After his military stint, he moved to New York and studied at the Actor's Studio and Neighborhood Playhouse. O'Neal was seen mostly as a guest star on US television throughout four decades, beginning in the 1950s. In the early 1960s he received critical praise for his leading role on Broadway in Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana but lost the starring role for the 1964 film version to Richard Burton. O'Neal appeared in several films of the mid-1960s and, in 1969, had a leading role in John Huston's The Kremlin Letter. With his wife and his brother Michael, O'Neal co-owned a number of successful restaurants, including the Ginger Man and the Landmark Tavern, both in Manhattan. O'Neal married actress Cynthia Baxter in 1956. They had two sons, Maximilian and Fitzjohn.

Elizabeth Ashley is an American actress who first came to prominence as the ingenue in the Broadway play Take Her, She's Mine, which earned her a... Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Play. Since then Sean has appeared in several other series including: General Hospital, Eleventh Hour, The Young and the Restless, CSI, and more.
