Tinker Field is a stadium in Orlando, Florida. It is primarily used for baseball, and was the home field of the Orlando Rays minor league baseball... team before they moved to Cracker Jack Stadium in 2000. It is located directly adjacent to the western side of the Citrus Bowl, at 1610 West Church Street, and holds 5,100 people. The stadium was built in 1914, and is named after baseball Hall of Famer, Joe Tinker. On May 14, 2004, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins used Tinker Field as their spring training home until after the 1990 season. When Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C. was demolished, nearly 1,000 of the stadium's seats were moved to Tinker Field, where they remain today. Tinker Field may be refurbished or redeveloped possibly as part of the refurbishment of the Citrus Bowl. Although some plans for "Downtown Master Plan 3", a redevelopment plan for that section of Orlando, suggest tearing down Tinker Field, such plans would prove difficult given its status on the National Register of Historic Places.

Amway Arena is a defunct indoor arena in Orlando, Florida. It was part of the Orlando Centroplex, a sports and entertainment complex located in... Downtown Orlando. The last day of operation of the facility was on September 30, 2010 as arena operations moved to the new Amway Center. The City of Orlando began traditional demolition of the building on December 15, 2011 with plans to take about six months to fully demolish the facility, making way for an urban development. On January 5, 2012, WESH-TV reported that the arena would instead be imploded sometime in March, most likely in the early morning hours on a weekend, with cleanup expected to be complete in April. The arena was the former home of the Orlando Magic of the NBA and the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. It also hosted many other minor league sports teams, as well as various concerts and other events such as the PlayStation Pro event on the Dew Action Sports Tour and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus annually.

Since 2006, Sörenstam has held dual American and Swedish citizenship. She holds various all-time scoring records including the lowest season scoring average: 68.6969 in 2004. Throughout his 19-year career, O'Neal used his size and strength to overpower opponents for points and rebounds. He quickly became one of the top centers in the league, winning Rookie of the Year in 1992–93 and later leading his team to the 1995 NBA Finals. After four years with the Magic, O'Neal signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers. He won three consecutive championships in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Amid tension between O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004, and his fourth NBA championship followed in 2006. Midway through the 2007–2008 season he was traded to the Phoenix Suns.

Backstreet Boys Dorough was born in Orlando, Florida, where he met future friend and bandmate A.J. McLean. His mother, Paula Flores, is Puerto Rican, and his late father, Hoke Dorough, was Irish American. He is the youngest of five siblings. He came to fame in the mid 1990s as a member of the Backstreet Boys. Howie Dorough and his two friends started seeking a manager when they met Lou Pearlman. Pearlman held a casting call during which hundreds of performers started participating. Finally, A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Dorough himself were selected. They decided to name the band Backstreet Boys after Orlando's Backstreet flea market. They were then booked to perform at many venues such as high schools and shopping malls and eventually managed to sign a contract with Jive Records. The boys slowly became popular in European countries, starting with Germany. They embarked on a tour in support of their debut album.

Amar'e Carsares Stoudemire is an American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward and center for the New York Knicks of the... National Basketball Association. Stoudemire played high school basketball for six different schools, before graduating from Cypress Creek High School and declaring for the NBA draft as a prep-to-pro player. In high school, Stoudemire won several honors most notably being selected as Mr. Basketball for the state of Florida. Stoudemire initially committed to the University of Memphis. He was selected in the first round with the ninth overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, Stoudemire spent the first eight years of his career with the Phoenix Suns, before signing with the New York Knicks. Charles Michael "Chuck" Schuldiner was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Schuldiner was the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of the... band Death, which he founded in 1983, initially under the name Mantas. He also recorded as guitarist and songwriter with his other band, Control Denied. Schuldiner is often referred to as "The Father of Death Metal", and his obituary in the January 5, 2002 issue of UK's Kerrang! magazine stated that "Chuck Schuldiner was one of the most significant figures in the history of metal." Schuldiner himself was modest about his part in the history of death metal, noting "I don’t think I should take the credits for this death metal stuff. I'm just a guy from a band, and I think Death is a metal band." Schuldiner was ranked No. 10 in Joel Mclver's book The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists in 2009 and No.20 in March 2004 Guitar World's "The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists". Schuldiner founded the publishing company Mutilation Music in 1987, affiliated with performance rights organization BMI.

She won nine Grand Slam singles titles, winning eight of them while a citizen of Yugoslavia and one while a citizen of the United States. She became the youngest-ever champion at the 1990 French Open at the age of 16. She was the world no. 1 player in the women's game during 1991 and 1992, but in 1993 she was forced out of the sport for more than two years following an on-court attack in which a man stabbed her in the back with a 9-inch-long knife. She enjoyed some success after returning to the tour in 1995, including a Grand Slam singles title at the 1996 Australian Open, but was unable to consistently reproduce her best form. She played her last professional match at the 2003 French Open, but her official retirement announcement was not issued until February 2008.

Warren Carlos Sapp is a retired American football player who played defensive tackle in the National Football League. He played for the Tampa Bay... Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders during his 13 year professional career, and college football for the University of Miami Hurricanes. He was then drafted by the Buccaneers in the 1995 NFL Draft as the 12th overall pick. He spent nine seasons with the team where he earned seven trips to the Pro Bowl and a Super Bowl ring in 2002. He moved to the Raiders in 2004. His 96.5 career sacks are the second-highest career total sacks for a defensive tackle and the 28th highest overall for a defensive lineman. His 77 sacks with the Buccaneers is second in the team's history. During Sapp's career, he has been the source of some controversy because of his hard-hitting style of play and his occasional verbal outbursts, both on the field and off. Some of these resulted in NFL fines, and he was once ejected from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct. Sapp was born and raised in Anial, Florida.

David Allen "Davey" Johnson is an American Major League Baseball player and current manager of the Washington Nationals. He was the starting second... baseman for the Baltimore Orioles when they won four American League pennants and two World Series championships between 1965 and 1972. His biggest success as a manager was when he led the New York Mets to the 1986 World Series title. The ball club captured the National League East under his watch in 1988. The teams he piloted in the three years from 1995 to 1997 all made it to their respective League Championship Series – the Cincinnati Reds in 1995 and the Orioles in both 1996 and 1997. Johnson won the American League's Manager of the Year Award in 1997 when he led the Baltimore Orioles wire-to-wire to the American League East Division Championship. He would later manage the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Burke was born in Orlando, Florida to a single mother, Jean. Frederick Burke, an Orlando realtor, adopted her after marrying her mother; she has never met her biological father. She graduated from Colonial High School in 1974, and won the senior superlative "Most Likely to Succeed."In 1972 she won the Miss Flame crown from the Orlando Fire Department and went on to become State Miss Flame. In her senior year of high school, she won the Miss Florida title for 1974; she was the youngest Miss Florida titleholder in pageant history. She was subsequently paired with Miss Georgia, Gail Nelson, in the 1975 Miss America pageant. Burke won a talent scholarship from the Miss America Organization, allowing her to attend a two-year study program at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Monty Kip Sopp is an American professional wrestler, best known as Billy Gunn during his tenure for World Wrestling Entertainment. In WWE, Sopp was a one time Intercontinental Champion and a two time Hardcore Champion, but found his greatest success as a tag team wrestler, being a ten time World Tag Team Champion. He was also the 1999 King of the Ring. When Sopp first arrived in the World Wrestling Federation, he used the name Billy Gunn and teamed with his on-screen brother, Bart Gunn, as The Smoking Gunns. In early 1995, they won their first WWF Tag Team Championship by defeating the makeshift team of Bob Holly and The 1-2-3 Kid. They held the titles until WrestleMania XI when they were defeated by the team of Owen Hart and Yokozuna. They won the titles again in September 1995. On February 15, 1996, the Gunns vacated the titles because Billy was in need of neck surgery. After Billy returned from hiatus, The Smoking Gunns won the Tag Titles for the third time by defeating The Godwinns in May.

Storms was born in Orlando, Florida. She is the daughter of Mike and Karen Storms. She has a younger sister named Gretchen, a brother named Austin and a stepbrother named Chris. At the age of 5, Storms was discovered by a talent scout while performing in a showcase at an acting school for children. The talent scout convinced her parents into enrolling their child in an intensive children's program in New York. After appearing in a handful of commercials, Storms' television series jobs included a recurring role on ABC's Second Noah plus a lead role in Sing Me a Story with Belle. She moved with her family to California. Soon after that, she landed the role of Laura Cummings on The WB's long-running program 7th Heaven.
