Jonathan Clay "J. J." Redick is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Orlando Magic. He was selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA Draft. During his collegiate years, Redick played for Duke University. Redick's jersey was retired by Duke on February 4,... 2007. Redick is known for his free throw and three-point shooting. He set ACC records for most points , and most career ACC tournament points; and set several Duke records, including most points in a single season. Redick is currently the all-time leading scorer for Duke. Redick was a McDonalds All-American at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia. J. J. Redick was also the 2002 McDonald's All-American Most Valuable Player. He scored 43 points as a senior in the Virginia state championship game, a game in which the Knights defeated George Wythe High School of Richmond. In his freshman year at Duke, he led his team with 30 points in their victory over North Carolina State in the ACC Tournament championship game.

Francisco Vázquez González , commonly known as Fran Vázquez, is a Spanish professional basketball player. He is currently playing with Barcelona of the Spanish ACB League as a center. Vázquez was selected 11th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. He made headlines... when he announced that he would remain playing in the Spanish ACB League for at least the following season. This came as a surprise to the Magic, who expected him to join Dwight Howard in the front court for the 2005-06 season, and it enraged many Magic fans. Vázquez originally gave no indication that he would be returning to Europe after he was drafted and had indicated that he would like to join the Magic. The Magic retain his NBA rights while he plays in a non-NBA League. In 2010, he signed a one year contract extension with the Euroleague club Barcelona. Vázquez played with the senior men's Spanish national basketball team at the EuroBasket 2005 and the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a professional basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. They began playing in the National Basketball Association in... 1970 as an expansion team. They play their home games at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavaliers first began play in the NBA in 1970 as an expansion team under the ownership of Nick Mileti. The father of Brett Tomko, Jerry Tomko, submitted the winning entry to name the team the "Cavaliers" through a competition sponsored by the The Plain Dealer, supporters preferred it to "Jays", "Foresters" and "Presidents". Playing their home games at Cleveland Arena under the direction of head coach Bill Fitch, they compiled a league-worst 15–67 record. The team hoped to build around the number one 1971 draft pick Austin Carr who had set numerous scoring records at Notre Dame, but Carr severely injured his leg shortly into his pro career and never was able to realize his potential. The following seasons saw the Cavaliers gradually improve their on-court performance, thanks to season-by-season additions of talented players such as Bingo Smith, Jim Chones, Jim Cleamons and Dick Snyder.

The Indiana Pacers are a professional basketball team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. They are members of the Central Division of the Eastern... Conference of the National Basketball Association . The Pacers play their home games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, which they share with their WNBA counterpart, the Indiana Fever, also owned by Herb Simon. The Indiana Pacers began play in 1967 as members of the American Basketball Association , where they won three championships and created a dynasty. In 1976, the Pacers moved from the ABA to the NBA when the Indiana dynasty ended and the Pacer organization began to struggle. The Pacers organization saw success with the acquisition of Reggie Miller. Following the appearance in the 2000 NBA Finals, the Pacers have not seen much playoff success, experiencing a four-season playoff drought from 2007 until making the playoffs again in 2011. In early 1967, a group of six investors pooled their resources to purchase a franchise in the proposed American Basketball Association.

The Charlotte Bobcats are a professional basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. They play in the Southeast Division of... the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association. The Bobcats were established in 2004 as an expansion team, two seasons after Charlotte's previous NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, relocated to New Orleans and became the New Orleans Hornets. The Bobcats play their home games at Time Warner Cable Arena in center city Charlotte. As of the end of the 2010–11 season, the Bobcats have compiled a record of 222–352. In their 8-year history they have qualified for the postseason just once, which was during the 2009–10 season when they achieved a record of 44-38. When the Charlotte Hornets relocated to New Orleans in 2002, the NBA promised Charlotte leaders that the city would be granted an NBA expansion team for the 2004–05 season. Several ownership groups, including one led by former Boston Celtics star Larry Bird, made bids for the team. On December 18, 2002, a group led by Black Entertainment Television founder Robert L. Johnson was awarded the franchise, allowing him to become the first majority African American owner in U.S.

The Chicago Bulls are an American professional basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois, playing in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference... in the National Basketball Association . The team was founded in 1966. They play their home games at the United Center. The team is well known for having one of the greatest dynasties in NBA and sports history during the 1990s, winning six championships in eight years with two three-peats. All six of those championship teams were led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and coach Phil Jackson. The first three championship teams included the likes of Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, John Paxson and B.J. Armstrong, while the latter three championship teams had Luc Longley, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoč, and Dennis Rodman on the roster. The Bulls won an NBA record 72 games during the 1995–96 NBA season and are the only team in NBA history to win 70 games or better in a single season. During the 1990s, the Bulls helped spread the popularity of the NBA around the world. The 1998 NBA Finals, the Bulls' most recent championship appearance, was the most watched championship series in NBA history.
