Palatine Township is one of thirty townships in Cook County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 112,740. It is the north central township of the six northwest townships that form the Cook County panhandle. Palatine Township was organized in 1850. According to the United States Census Bureau, Palatine Township covers an area of 36.04 square miles ; of this, 35.69 square miles is land and 0.35 square miles is water. The township contains these ten cemeteries: Cady, Circle of life, Deer Grove, Germam, Hillside, Immanuel Lutheran, Mount Hope, Saint Michael, Salem and Sutherland.
