Paterson City Hall, is located in Paterson, New Jersey. The building was built in 1896 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on... March 10, 1995. City Hall was designed by the New York firm Carrere and Hastings in 1894, and is modeled after the Hôtel de Ville in Lyon, France, capital of the silk industry in Europe. There are three statues of figures connected to Paterson's history outside city hall; Nathan Barnert, Garret Hobart, and former Mayor Andrew F. McBride. Additionally, there is a statue of city founder Alexander Hamilton outside the building.

Joseph Michael Straczynski , known professionally as J. Michael Straczynski and informally as Joe Straczynski or JMS, is an American writer and... television producer. He works in films, television series, novels, short stories, comic books, and radio dramas. He is a playwright, a former journalist, and author of The Complete Book of Scriptwriting. He was the creator and showrunner for the science fiction television series Babylon 5, and its spin-off Crusade, and of Jeremiah. Straczynski wrote 92 out of the 110 Babylon 5 episodes, notably including an unbroken 59-episode run through the third and fourth seasons, and all but one episode of the fifth season. He also wrote the four Babylon 5 TV movies produced alongside the series. From 2001 to 2007, he was the writer for the long-running Marvel comic book series The Amazing Spider-Man. In 2009, Straczynski was nominated for the BAFTA Award for his screenplay for Changeling. Louis "Lou" Duva is a boxing trainer and manager who has handled some of the most famous boxers in the world including 19 World Champions. The Duva... family have promoted boxing events in over 20 countries on six continents. He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame, National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, and the Meadowlands Sports Hall of Fame. Duva was born in New York City to Italian immigrants, the sixth of seven children. After spending time growing up in Little Italy, New York, his family then moved to Paterson, New Jersey. Duva's childhood was an impoverished one and he had to do many jobs to try to help his family. Duva's 23-year-old brother, Carl Duva, introduced young Lou to boxing when the boy was only 10 years old. Lou polished his own boxing skills and by age 12 was both an amateur and ballroom brawler. However Lou as a boxer did not have much luck, although that might have been due to the fact he barely had time to train, having to go out to the street and perform many types of jobs to try to help the Duva family make ends meet.

Federico Castelluccio is an Italian-American actor and professional visual artist, who is best known for his role as Furio Giunta on the HBO TV... series, The Sopranos. Born in Naples, Italy, his family moved to Paterson, New Jersey in 1968. In 1982, Castelluccio was awarded a full scholarship to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he earned a BFA in painting and media arts. Just prior to winning the scholarship, Federico received an opportunity to do a painting for veteran actor George Burns. Castelluccio began his career as an actor in 1986. Some of his film credits include Made with Jon Favreau, Fire with Robert Klein and Diary of a Hitman with Danny Aiello. In television, Federico's credits include NYPD Blue and his best known role in the HBO hit series, The Sopranos, as the Neapolitan enforcer Furio Giunta. He also appeared in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints which debuted in 2006 at the Sundance Film Festival and received two awards, one for best dramatic directing and another for best dramatic ensemble, headed by Robert Downey Jr., Chazz Palminteri, and Rosario Dawson.

Alice White was an American film actress. She was born Alva White of French and Italian parents. Her mother, a former chorus girl died when Alice... was only three years old. She attended Roanoke College in Virginia and then took a secretarial course at Hollywood High School also attended by future actors Joel McCrea and Mary Brian. After leaving school she became a secretary and "script girl" for director Josef Von Sternberg. After clashing with Von Sternberg, White left his employment to work for Charlie Chaplin, who decided before long to place her in front of the camera. Her bubbly and vivacious persona led to comparisons with Clara Bow, but White's career was slow to progress. After playing a succession of flappers and gold diggers, she attracted the attention of the director and producer Mervyn LeRoy who saw potential in her. Her first sound films included Show Girl made in the Vitaphone sound-on-disc system, and Show Girl in Hollywood in the Western Electric sound-on-film process, both released by Warner Brothers and both based on novels by J. P. McEvoy.

John Spencer was an American film and television actor. He was best known for playing White House Chief of Staff Leo McGarry on the NBC political... drama series The West Wing, which earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2002. Spencer was born John Speshock, Jr. in New York City and raised in Totowa, New Jersey. He was the son of blue-collar parents Mildred , a waitress, and John Speshock, Sr., a truck driver. Spencer was of Irish and Rusyn / Ukrainian descent. With his enrollment at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 1963, Spencer found himself sharing classes with such fellow students as Liza Minnelli and violinist Pinchas Zukerman. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, but did not complete a degree. Spencer often referred to himself as a "dyed-in-the-wool liberal" and described Franklin Delano Roosevelt as one of his heroes. Spencer began his television career on The Patty Duke Show, and eventually began appearing in supporting roles in feature films commencing with 1983's WarGames.

Joseph Dominick Pistone, alias Donnie Brasco, , is a former FBI agent who worked undercover for six years infiltrating the Bonanno crime family and... to a lesser extent the Colombo crime family, two of the Five Families of the Mafia in New York City. Pistone was an FBI agent for 17 years and is considered to be an FBI legend. Pistone was a pioneer for deep long-term undercover work. J. Edgar Hoover originally did not want FBI agents to work undercover because it could be a dirty job and might end up tainting the agents, but Pistone's work helped convince the FBI that using undercover agents instead of just using informants was a crucial tool in law enforcement. Pistone was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and grew up in Paterson, New Jersey. He graduated from Paterson State College with a B.A. in elementary education social studies in 1965, then worked as a teacher for one year before taking a position at the Office of Naval Intelligence. Pistone joined the FBI in 1969; after serving in a variety of roles, he was transferred to New York in 1974 and assigned to the truck hijacking squad.
