Peter Horton

Peter Horton is an American actor and director. He played the role of Prof. Gary Shepherd on the popular television series Thirtysomething until 1991. Horton was born in Bellevue, Washington to a father who worked in the shipping business. He attended Redwood High School and Principia College. During his run on Thirtysomething, People magazine named him one of the "50 Most Beautiful People".
