Pinellas Park

Pinellas Park is a city located in central Pinellas County, Florida. The population was 45,658 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau is 47,166. The city was founded by Philadelphia publisher, F. A. Davis, who purchased 12,800 acres of Hamilton Disston's land around 1911. Pinellas Park is located at 27°51′08″N 82°42′26″W / 27.852302°N 82.707096°W / 27.852302; -82.707096. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.9 square miles . 14.8 square miles... of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it is water. The racial makeup of the city was 89.04% White, 2.09% African American, 0.39% Native American, 4.25% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.00% from other races, and 2.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.26% of the population.
