Kenneth Joel "Kenny" Hotz is a Canadian writer, director, actor, producer and photographer. He is a former South Park writer, creator/star of the Comedy Central television show Kenny vs. Spenny creator and writer of the FX series Testees and the creator/star of Kenny Hotz's Triumph of the Will. He... is the only Canadian entertainer who has the achievement of creating and executive producing two television series that have premiered on separate American networks at the same time . He also has the largest online fan base for any Canadian TV celebrity. He is the co-owner of The Hoxton, a concert venue and the co-owner of the dog and bear restaurant in Toronto Canada. He is Chair of the Comedy Advisory Board for Banff World Media Festival and an executive consultant at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal. Hotz was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1967. When Kenny was four years old, the top of his right index finger was removed in an exercise bicycle accident. At the age of 7 years old, Kenny was sent to a film camp where he made his first animated short film, the film was screened for Henry Winkler on his visit to the city in 1974.

Spencer "Spenny" Nolan Rice is a Canadian writer, director, producer, and comedian. He was the co-star of Kenny vs. Spenny along with Kenny Hotz. Rice was born in Toronto, Ontario. He also started taking courses in Second City. Rice claims to have spent much of his high school days watching movies... in his room. One of his cousins is Lauren Collins, one of the stars of Degrassi: The Next Generation. He is also first cousin to the late Seinfeld writer Marjorie Gross. He attended Crescent School, a Toronto boys' independent school, for elementary school and then went to high school at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute. Rice attended Glendon College, York University in Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. After graduating from university Rice spent most of his efforts working as a writer for various Canadian television series. In 1994, Rice and Hotz, who had been friends since childhood, collaborated on the short film It Don't Cost Nothin' to Say Good Morning. Their first feature-length film was Pitch, which won Best Film Award from the Toronto Independent Arts Festival.
