Fratton Park is a football stadium in the English city-port of Portsmouth. It has been the home of professional club Portsmouth F.C. since its... construction in 1898. The stadium currently has four stands, all seated. The pitch runs from east to west. The largest and most modern stand, at the ground's western end, is the Fratton End . Along either side of the pitch are the North and South stands, both of which are two-tiered. At the eastern end is the Milton End , by far the smallest stand. Formerly the only roofless stand in the Premier League, a roof was added before the 2007/08 season. This stand is shared between home and away supporters. The original entrance to the Fratton End is notable for its mock Tudor façade. Following the arrival of former owner Alexandre Gaydamak several renovations were made to Fratton Park, including improved dressing rooms, the above-mentioned roof over the Milton end and a big-screen above the police box between the North Stand and Milton End.

Charles Peckham "Charlie" Day is an American television and film actor best known for playing Charlie Kelly on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.... Day was born in New York City. His mother, Mary , is a piano teacher at The Pennfield School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. His father, Dr. Thomas Charles Day, is a professor of Music History and Music Theory at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. Charlie Day spent most of his childhood in Middletown, Rhode Island. He attended Pennfield School and graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School, both in Portsmouth. He went on to attend Merrimack College in Massachusetts. Besides playing Charlie Kelly on the hit FX television series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, he is also the show's executive producer and one of its writers. He has also appeared on several other television shows such as Third Watch, Law & Order, and Reno 911!. He appeared in New Line Cinema's Horrible Bosses in July 2011, opposite Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, and Jamie Foxx.

Jim Al-Khalili OBE is an Iraqi-born British theoretical physicist, author and science communicator. He is Professor of Theoretical Physics and Chair... in the Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey. He has hosted several BBC productions about science and is a frequent commentator about science in other British media venues. Born in Baghdad in 1962 to an Iraqi father and English mother, Al-Khalili studied physics at the University of Surrey. He graduated with a B.Sc. degree in 1986 and stayed on to pursue a Ph.D. degree in nuclear reaction theory, which he obtained in 1989. In 1989, he was awarded a Science and Engineering Research Council postdoctoral fellowship at University College London. Al-Khalili returned to Surrey in 1991, first as a research assistant then lecturer. In 1994, Al-Khalili was awarded an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Advanced Research Fellowship for five years, during which time he established himself as a leading expert on mathematical models of exotic atomic nuclei. He has published widely in his field.

Christopher Eric Hitchens, nicknamed "Hitch", was an English American author, journalist, and professor whose books, essays, and journalistic career... spanned more than four decades. He was a columnist and literary critic for The Atlantic, Free Inquiry, The Nation, Salon, Slate, Vanity Fair, World Affairs, and became a media fellow at the Hoover Institution in September 2008. He was a staple of talk shows and lecture circuits and in 2005 was voted the world's fifth top public intellectual in a Prospect/Foreign Policy poll. Hitchens was known for his admiration of George Orwell, Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson and for his excoriating critiques of Mother Teresa, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Henry Kissinger and Britain's royal family, among others. His confrontational style of debate made him both a lauded and controversial figure. As a political observer, polemicist and self-defined radical, he rose to prominence as a fixture of the left-wing publications in his native Britain and in the United States.

Michael John Cleote Crawford Rutherford is an English musician. He is a founding member of Genesis, initially as a bassist and backup vocalist. In... later incarnations of Genesis, he assumed the role of lead guitarist. He is one of only two constant members in Genesis . He also fronts Mike + The Mechanics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010. Rutherford received his first guitar at the age of eight, and played in his first band, the Chesters at the age of nine. His father, Crawford Rutherford, was a Royal Navy Captain who became a manager in industry upon his retirement from the service. Mike attended the Leas Preparatory School in Hoylake as a boarder, before moving at the age of 13 to Charterhouse School, where he joined the Anon and formed a songwriting partnership with fellow guitarist Anthony Phillips. At age 15, the two of them founded Genesis with Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel. Rutherford was later expelled from Charterhouse for what he describes as a number of instances of minor misconduct.

Roger Anthony Black MBE is a retired British athlete. During his athletics career, he won individual silver medals in the 400 metres sprint at both... the Olympic Games and World Championships, two individual gold medals at the European Championships, and 4x400 metres relay gold medals at both the World and European Championships. Since retiring from athletics, he has worked as a television presenter and motivational speaker. Born in Gosport, England, to David and Thelma, with a twin sister Julia, he attended Portsmouth Grammar School, becoming Head Boy in 1983/84. Black has a collection of fifteen medals from major senior athletics competitions to add to his two European junior championship gold medals, including his 1996 Olympic silver which he keeps on his person at all times. He set the national 400 metre record of 44.37 seconds on 3 July 1996 in Lausanne, Switzerland but that was subsequently broken a year later by Iwan Thomas who shaved 0.01s from Black's time. Fellow GB athlete Mark Richardson also equalled Black's mark in 1998. Black's time stands as the second fastest of all time recorded by a British runner.

Gerald Flood was a British actor of stage and television. Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire but lived for most of his life in Farnham, Surrey, where he... regularly appeared on stage at the Castle Theatre. He first came to national prominence whist starring alongside Patrick Allen and Sam Kydd in the Morocco-based police series, Crane, which ran from 1963 to 1965 on ITV. In this he played the character Colonel Sharif Mahmoud. Flood also appeared in a number of television and film roles over the years. These included the ITC series The Champions and Randall & Hopkirk , The Rat Catchers, the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who as the voice of the robot companion Kamelion in two serials — The King's Demons and Planet of Fire as well as a brief scene in the regeneration between Peter Davison's to Colin Baker's Doctor. He portrayed Sir Richard Flashman in the BBC's popular 1971 television serial Tom Brown's Schooldays and was also in Bachelor Father. His film credits included Smokescreen , Patton , and Frightmare . Gerald Flood died from a heart attack aged 61.

Julia Fordham is a British singer-songwriter. Her professional career started in the early 1980s, under the name "Jules Fordham", as a backing... singer for Mari Wilson and Kim Wilde, before signing a recording contract of her own later that decade. Fordham is now based in California. In 1988, Fordham released her first album on Circa Records. Simply titled Julia Fordham, it reached #20 in the UK and eventually earned a Gold disc. It contained the Top 40 single "Happy Ever After" The album also charted in the U.S., reaching #118 on the Billboard 200 chart. Fordham released her second album, Porcelain, in 1989. The album charted higher than her debut but sold less, and was certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry. It was, however, Fordham's only album to crack the U.S. Top 100, reaching #74. In late 1991, Fordham released her third album, Swept. The album only reached #33 in the UK, but contained the Top 40 hit " Mysterious Ways", which peaked at #19 in early 1992 and was also featured in the 1991 film The Butcher's Wife.
