Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated is an integrated facilities-based telecommunications services provider offering international and domestic voice, voice-over-Internet protocol , Internet, wireless, data and hosting services to business and residential retail customers and other carriers located primarily in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Western Europe. In 1996 Primus began its global expansion by acquiring Australia's fourth largest telecommunications service provider, Axicorp.
