PICAP is a Catalan record label headquartered in Castellar del Vallès, Spain. It was founded in 1984. PICAP supports Catalonian authors and performers. While respecting the performer's linguistic expression, it gives preferential support to the Catalan language. Its debuted as a record label... in 1984 with four maxi-singles that appeared simultaneously: the technopop band Programa, Javier Asensi, pop group Oslo, and hard-rock artist Rockson. Hector Vila, Maria-Josep Villarroya, Josep Tero, Gato Pérez, and Joan Soler Boronat were among PICAP's first artists. The first commercial success of the new record label was Catalan humorist Eugenio. In the last years of the 1980s, the band Grec, a PICAP artist, joined in a wave of funk music similar to that of other new bands that were starting their careers in those days . The band Sau, after the success achieved on PICAP with Quina nit, signed for a multinational record label. The band Sangtraït, however, stayed with PICAP and prepared its fourth album Contes i llegendes at a time when Catalan rock had reached its peak. Rock and “Cançó” became PICAP's main genres with notable artists in both genres.

Odeon Records was a record label founded in 1903 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of the International Talking Machine Company in Berlin, Germany. It was named after a famous theatre in Paris, whose classical dome appears on the Odeon record label. Straus and Zuntz bought from Carl Lindström... the company that he had founded in 1897. They transformed the Lindström enterprise into a public company, the Carl Lindström A.G. and purchased in 1903 among many other record companies Fonotipia Records including their Odeon-Werke International Talking Machine Co. m. b. H. In 1904 Odeon launched the first double-sided gramophone records. The American Record Company began doing pressings of 10¾-inch blue-shellac discs for Odeon to export to Europe in 1905 or 1906, all double-sided. In 1909 it created the first recording of a large orchestral work — and what may have been the first record album — when it released a 4-disk set of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite with Hermann Finck conducting the London Palace Orchestra. On January 30, 1904 Odeon became a part of the Carl Lindström Company, which also owned Beka Records, Parlophone and Fonotipia, Lyrophon, Homophon and other labels.
