Javed Sheikh is a Pakistani actor, director and producer who has devoted his career to the film industry of Bollywood, Lollywood, and Pollywood... films. Born in Pakistan's fourth-largest city, Rawalpindi, Javed Sheikh made his acting debut in the Lollywood film Dhamaka, released on 14 December 1974. He since acted in over 100 Urdu films from the 1970s through to the early 2000s. The first film he directed was Mushkil, released in 1995. In 2002, he directed Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa, in which he also played a supporting role. In 2005, he switched to acting in Bollywood films and appeared in the films Shikhar and Jaan-E-Mann . In 2007 he appeared in Namaste London, Om Shanti Om and the Pakistani film Mein Ek Din Laut Kay Aaoon Ga. In 2008, he played a supporting role in Jannat. His most recent film as director was Khulay Aasman Kay Neechay, a big-budget film shot in four countries . The production failed at the box-office, resulting in a net loss of Rs. 8 Crore.

Bhisham Sahni was a Hindi writer, playwright, and actor, most famous for his novel and television screenplay Tamas , a powerful and passionate... account of the Partition of India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan for literature in 1998, and Sahitya Akademi Fellowship in 2002. He was the brother of the noted Hindi film actor, Balraj Sahni. Bhisham Sahni was born on 8 August 1915 in Rawalpindi. He earned a master's degree in English at Government College in Lahore, and also attended Khalsa College, Amritsar. He joined the struggle for Indian independence, and was jailed for his participation in the Quit India Movement of 1942. Upon Partition, he and his Punjabi Hindu family were forced to move to Amritsar. In the late 1940s, he worked with his brother as a stage performer in Mumbai with the Indian People's Theatre Association . In 1950, he became a lecturer in English at The Delhi College. From 1957 to 1963, he lived in Moscow and worked as a translator from Russian to Hindi, during the period he translated twenty-five books from Russian into Hindi, including Tolstoy's Resurrection.

She also appeared in Askari's Sassi Punno alongside Sana and Moammar Rana, however the film failed to do well at Lahore's cinemas and further screenings had stopped in cinemas after a week of its release. Swaran Lata is a Pakistani film actress. She started her career in the film industry in British India and later moved to Pakistan.
