Reegie R. Corona is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder who plays in the New York Yankees organization in the United States. Corona was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1986 and signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Yankees in 2003. He played in the Yankees farm system, including stints with the GCL Yankees, Staten Island Yankees, Charleston RiverDogs, Tampa Yankees and Trenton Thunder. In December 2008, Corona was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the Rule 5 draft. However, he was returned to the Yankees at the end of Spring Training. Following the 2009 season, Corona... was added to the 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. Corona spent the 2010 season with the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, though his season ended due to an injury on July 31. Corona missed the 2011 season, and was designated for assignment and outrighted from the 40 man roster after the season. Corona was released prior to the 2012 season. In the Venezuelan Winter League, he plays for the Magallanes Navigators.
