Warner Bros. Records Inc. is an American record label. It was the foundation label of the present-day Warner Music Group, and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of that corporation. It maintains a close relationship with its former parent, Warner Bros. Pictures, although the two companies... are independently owned. Rob Cavallo currently serves as Chairman of the company. Warner Bros. Records was originally established in 1958 as the recorded music division of the American movie studio Warner Bros. Pictures. For most of its existence it was one of a group of labels owned and operated by larger parent corporations. The sequence of companies that controlled Warner Bros. and its allied labels evolved through a convoluted series of corporate mergers and acquisitions from the early 1960s to the early 2000s. Over this period, Warner Bros. Records grew from a struggling minor player in the industry to become one of the top recording labels in the world. In 2003 these music assets were divested by their then owner Time Warner and purchased by a private equity group. This independent company traded as the Warner Music Group , before being bought by Access Industries in 2011.

Hib-Tone is an American recording label, based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded by Jonny Hibbert, a law student at Woodrow Wilson College of Law, in 1981. The label has released eight records, including two full-length albums by the bands Design and RF and the Radar Angels. The most recent release is... by singer-songwriter Noёl Hamilton. The label is also notable because it released R.E.M.'s debut single "Radio Free Europe" and its B-side "Sitting Still". "Radio Free Europe" was re-recorded and released on the band's first full-length album, Murmur. "Sitting Still" was remixed by Mitch Easter and also included on Murmur. The mix produced by Hibbert and engineered by Easter of the "Hib-Tone" version of "Radio Free Europe" was subsequently released on R.E.M.'s 1988 compilation album Eponymous. The original Hibbert mixes of both songs were collected on 2006's And I Feel Fine The Best of the I.R.S Years 1982–1987.

Distribution. New West Records LLC is an eleven year old, wholly independent record label distributed in the United States by RED Distribution. The label has had numerous releases debut in the Billboard Top 200 and has a number of Grammy award winning artists and releases including Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle, Rickie Lee Jones, Kris Kristofferson and Delbert McClinton. In addition, the roster includes Ben Lee, Buddy & Julie Miller, Corb Lund, Ian Hunter, John Hiatt, Jordan Zevon, Mark Olson & Gary Louris, Old 97's, Randall Bramblett, Ray Davies, Stephen Bruton, The Drams, The Flatlanders and Tim Easton. The extensive catalogue includes releases from Benji Hughes, Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell and Vic Chesnutt. In 2007 and 2008 New West was recognized by NARM as the entertainment software supplier of the year.
