Albert Wesker is a fictional character in the Resident Evil franchise. Although portrayed as a supporting character in the first game, he is an... unkillable monster, later established as the primary antagonist of the series. For Resident Evil 5, when asked about remodeling, production director Yasuhiro Anpo replied, "I tried my best to preserve their image and imagined how they would have changed over the passage of time. Chris trained and got stronger, while Wesker got more wrinkles." Modeler Yosuke Yamagata added, "All the characters are very important for this series, and popular with fans. So we took care not to change their image from past games. It's a simple method, but we made a new design that retained their signature color - green for Chris, blue for Jill - to carry over the same look from the past. The facial structures are mainly based on the visuals of the GameCube version, and we added various details to these in order to develop a realistic structure." In the original Resident Evil, Wesker was portrayed by an unknown actor named Eric. In the 2002 remake of the original, he was voiced by actor Peter Jessop.

Leon Scott Kennedy is a fictional video game character from the Resident Evil survival horror series. He is a protagonist in Resident Evil 2 and the... main protagonist of Resident Evil 4. During the events of Resident Evil 2, Leon is a new police officer who arrives in Raccoon City for his first day on the job, only to confront the T-virus outbreak first-hand. Six years later in Resident Evil 4, Leon returns as a secret agent for the US government, assigned to rescue the President's daughter. Leon was created by Hideki Kamiya as a contrast to the male protagonist of the original Resident Evil game, Chris Redfield, who Kamiya felt was the "blunt, tough-guy type". Though he admitted that while he was a fan of a character like Chris, as it had already been done, he opted to take Leon's development in a different direction. As a result he created Leon to have some degree of weakness, but "ultimately a man who was on the ball". He was surprised at how popular Leon had become, praising his evolution into a "cool looking guy" for Resident Evil 4, adding that he "fell in love all over again.

Claire Redfield is a player character appearing in the Resident Evil series of survival horror video games. Claire is the younger sister of Chris... Redfield, the protagonist of the first Resident Evil game. She is the female protagonist of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica, which follow Claire's search for her missing brother. Later she also appeared in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles , in the CG animated film Resident Evil: Degeneration, and in the live-action films Resident Evil Extinction and Resident Evil: Afterlife. Claire Redfield was originally known as Elza Walker, the female lead in the original version of Resident Evil 2. This version of the game, which was between 70% and 80% complete, was scrapped by the development team after a year of work, and is now widely referred to as Resident Evil 1.5. In the released version of the game, the blonde biker Elza was changed into Claire Redfield, having been given physical features which more closely resemble Chris Redfield.

Ada Wong is a recurring fictional video game character appearing in the Resident Evil video game series. A woman of Asian descent, Ada is a cunning... and formidable secret agent. She is voiced by actress Sally Cahill in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, and has also appeared in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. When she was first revealed in Resident Evil 4, her identity was unclear. When asked by IGN editors if Ada would appear in the game, Resident Evil 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi stated that a mystery woman appears in the game. Ada is voiced by Sally Cahill in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4 and The Darkside Chronicles, and by an uncredited actress in The Umbrella Chronicles. Cahill said that getting the part of Ada came from doing other voices for the company. I seemed to have the sexy sound they were looking for. The producer and creators were Japanese, and they seemed to respond to the tone of my voice , so they brought me in to read for Ada. I saw them nodding all their heads in the control room through the glass and that was that.

Nintendo Australia distribute Nintendo's products to most of the Oceanic region. Distribution of Nintendo's products in New Zealand was handled by Monaco Corporation Ltd, then Softprint Interactive Ltd, until Softprint went into bankruptcy.
