Ned Rorem is a Pulitzer prize-winning American composer and diarist. He is best known and most praised for his song settings. He was born in... Richmond, Indiana and received his early education in Chicago at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, the American Conservatory of Music and then Northwestern University. Later, Rorem moved on to the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia and finally the Juilliard School in New York City. In 1966 he published The Paris Diary of Ned Rorem, which, with his later diaries, has brought him some notoriety, as he is honest about his and others' sexuality, describing his relationships with Leonard Bernstein, Noël Coward, Samuel Barber, and Virgil Thomson, and outing several others . Rorem has written extensively about music as well. These essays are collected in anthologies such as Setting the Tone, Music From the Inside Out, and Music and People. His prose is much admired, not least for its barbed observations about such prominent musicians as Pierre Boulez.

Thomas Allen Brown , known also as Timothy Brown and Timmy Brown, is a former professional American football player and actor. Brown was raised in... Knightstown, Indiana. Brown is a 1955 graduate of Morton Memorial High School at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home. Brown played college football at Ball State University. As a pro , he played only a single game with the Green Bay Packers, eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and one season with the Baltimore Colts of the National Football League . His final game was Super Bowl III with the Colts. Brown went to the Pro Bowl in 1962, 1963, and 1965. He is the only player in Philadelphia history to return a kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown, and the only Eagle to return two kickoffs, 90- and 93-yarders, for touchdowns in the same game. Brown's acting career began while he was still an active player, with a guest appearance on the Season 3 premiere of The Wild Wild West as Clint Cartwheel in the episode titled "The Night of the Bubbling Death", which originally aired on September 8, 1967.

He tried a number of theatrical agencies before getting stage work and later appeared on Broadway in the George S. Kaufman/Ring Lardner play June Moon in 1929. He also acted in London. He began working in crowd scenes in films before moving to bigger parts. His film acting credits include: He wrote several plays. He gave up acting in the late 1930s to pursue directing, although he occasionally appeared in movies and television programs. Some of Foster's directorial efforts include The Sign of Zorro , and the stylish films noir Kiss the Blood Off My Hands , Woman on the Run and Journey into Fear . Foster directed Rachel and the Stranger and the Davy Crockett segments of Disneyland that were edited into feature films Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier and Davy Crockett and the River Pirates where he did not accept any interference from Walt Disney.

Sarah Purcell is an American former talk show host, game show host, and panelist. She was co-host of The Better Sex , Real People , America , and... The Home Show , and made guest appearances on several TV dramas. She also co-starred in the 1981 film Terror Among Us with Tracy Reed. She has appeared in a number of infomercials for health foods, appliances and skin care products. From 1975 to 1978, she co-hosted A.M. Los Angeles on KABC-TV with Regis Philbin. In the early 1990s, Purcell was also a panelist on the NBC game show, To Tell the Truth. During a 1993 segment of The Home Show about influenza vaccines, a physician mistakenly gave Purcell an injection with the same needle that had been used on Gary Collins. At the end of the show, Collins announced that he would undergo blood tests to allay any concerns. There were no reported subsequent results.

James Ramey , better known as Baby Huey, was an American rock and soul singer. He was the frontman for the band Baby Huey & The Babysitters,... whose single LP for Curtom Records in 1971 was influential in the development of hip hop music. A native of Richmond, Indiana, James Ramey moved to Chicago, Illinois at the age of nineteen, and worked with several local bands as a singer. One while he was still in high school was called the Vets. Due to a glandular disorder, Ramey was a large man, weighing about 350 pounds . His size contributed to his stage presence, but also to health problems. Nevertheless, he made light of his condition, adopting the stage name "Baby Huey" after Paramount Pictures' giant duckling cartoon character of the same name. In 1963, Ramey, organist/trumpeter Melvyn "Deacon" Jones, and guitarist Johnny Ross founded a band called Baby Huey & the Babysitters, which became a popular local act and released several 45 RPM singles. The four songs, "Beg Me", "Monkey Man", "Messin' with the Kid" and "Just Being Careful" were spread over various single releases.

Jeff Hamilton is an American jazz drummer. He is co-director of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and leader of his own trio. Hamilton was born in... Richmond, Indiana and attended Indiana University. He is perhaps best known for his work with Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, and Diana Krall as well as with the groups he headlines. He has played in jazz festivals and clubs worldwide. Early in his career, he played with the Tommy Dorsey ghost band, after which he played briefly with Lionel Hampton. He spent two years as a member of Monty Alexander's Trio starting in 1975, and he was with Woody Herman's Orchestra from 1977 to 1978, following which he became a member of the L.A. Four . After this, he started recording regularly as a sideman for Concord. Hamilton is well known for his melodic solos. From 1983 to 1987, he performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, the Count Basie Orchestra, and Monty Alexander. In the 1990s, Hamilton played gigs with The Clayton Brothers, toured the world with Oscar Peterson and the Ray Brown trio, and currently co-leads the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with John and Jeff Clayton.
