Irina Aleksandrovna Allegrova is a Russian singer of Russian and Armenian descent. Irina Allegrova was born in Rostov-on-Don in 1952. Her Armenian... father Alexander Sarkisov took the last name Allegrov as a pseudonym when he was just 17 and Irina was born under the name Allegrova. Her Russian mother was Serafima Sosnovskaya. Irina was brought up in a theatrical family with famous people who frequented their house and impressed the young girl. Irina spent her early life in Baku, Azerbaijan where she studied piano and ballet. Irina gave birth to one daughter, Lala, at a young age. She left Lala with her parents and moved to Moscow to become a singer at the age of 22. In the early 1980s she became lead soloist in David Tukhmanov's group - ElectroClub. In the late 80's Irina met Oscar Feltsman, who gave her a chance at a solo career and later wrote several songs for Irina. Irina's debut album "My Destined One - Suzheny/Wanderer - Strannik" was written and produced by her then neighbor and friend - Igor Nikolaev.

Alexander Leonidovich Kaidanovsky was a Soviet and Russian actor and film director. His best known roles are in films such as At Home Among... Strangers , Telokhranitel/The Bodyguard and Stalker . Prior to pursuing an acting career, Kaidanovsky attended technical college where he was training to become a welder. Apparently a prospect of becoming a worker did not appeal to him and in 1965 he started studying acting at The Rostov Theatre School and the Schukin Institute in Moscow. Before completing the course he took his first part in the film Tainstvennaya stena , and upon graduation in 1969, he worked as stage actor. In 1985 he directed A Simple Death, which was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival. Kaidanovsky made his theatre debut at the Eugene Vakhtangov Theatre in 1969. In 1971 he was invited to join MKHAT, the Moscow Arts Theatre, the best classical theatre in Russia, a rare privilege for a 25-year-old graduate.

Rostov-on-Don in the family of Abram Borisovich Bashmet and Maya Zinovyeva Bashmet . "Father's mother, Tsilya Efimovna, studied singing at the conservatory for two years in her youth. Mother's mother, Darya Axentyevna, interpreted wonderfully her native Huzul songs" . In 1971, he graduated from the Lviv secondary special music school. From 1971 till 1976, he studied at the Moscow Conservatory. His first viola teacher was Professor Vadim Borisovsky; after whose death in 1972 was succeeded by Professor Fyodor Druzhinin. Druzhinin was also the tutor of Yuri Bashmet for the probation period and for his postgraduate study at the Moscow Conservatory . In 1972, Bashmet purchased a 1758 viola made by Milanese luthier Paolo Testore, which he uses for his performances to date.

Eva Rivas is a Russian-Armenian singer. Rivas was born and raised in Rostov-on-Don to an Armenian mother and a father of Russian and Greek descent.... She took the stage name Eva Rivas from her Greek great-grandmother. Growing up in Rostov, she sang in the Armenian "Arevik" ensemble. Rivas is 6 foot 4. On 14 February 2010, Rivas won the Armenian National Final and went on to represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Apricot Stone". She placed 6th in the semi final and advanced to the final where she performed 21st in the line-up and placed 7th with a total of 141 points. Rivas will continue traveling around Europe, promoting her song. She wishes to represent Armenia again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
