Sage Rosenfels is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He played college football at Iowa State before he was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played with the Miami Dolphins from 2002–2005, the Houston Texans from 2006–2008, the Vikings in 2009, and the New York Giants in 2010. He spent portions of the 2011 season with the Giants and Dolphins. Through 2010, he had completed 351-of-562 passes for 4,156 yards and 30 touchdowns, and had a career 81.2 quarterback rating. Rosenfels... is Jewish, as is his father, and was born in Maquoketa, Iowa, a town of approximately 6,500. He was the fourth of five children, and as was the case with his siblings he was born at the family's home. His older sister Jaia, a high school runner and basketball player, suffered a traumatic brain injury in a traffic accident during her sophomore year at Wellesley College. He attended Maquoketa Community High School, where he was a letterman in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, and track, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.
