Saint Charles

The Family Arena is a multi-purpose arena in St. Charles, Missouri, built in 1999. The arena seats 9,643 for hockey, 9,755 for football, 10,467 for... basketball, 6,339 for half-house concerts and up to 11,522 for end-stage concerts. In addition to sporting events, concerts, circuses and ice shows the arena is also used for trade shows with a total of 39,900 square feet of exhibit space on the arena floor and 22,000 square feet on the arena concourse. It was formerly the home of the Missouri River Otters ice hockey team, the St. Louis Swarm basketball team, RiverCity Rage indoor football team, and the St. Louis Steamers indoor soccer team. Several youth hockey organizations, Twin Bridges and St. Peters clubs and the Missouri Storm Junior B team, have expressed interest in playing games at the arena, as have several high school programs. There have also been rumors of pro hockey returning with a team in the Central Hockey League or the IHL. The Family Arena also hosted Boeing Integrated Defense Systems' "Recommitment to Ethics Day" in 2005 and 2006 for Greater St. Louis.

Harlen C. Hunter Stadium, or Hunter Stadium, is an outdoor 7,450-seat multi-purpose stadium located in St. Charles, Missouri located on the campus of... Lindenwood University. It is the home for Lindenwood Lions Football, men's and women's soccer, women's field hockey, and both men's and women's lacrosse programs. It is located in the north-central part of campus. Hunter Stadium was built in 1976 by the St. Louis Cardinals NFL Football Team as a training camp location. The stadium opened in 1979 and was renovated in 1988. It is named after Dr. Harlen C. Hunter who founded the St. Louis Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic in Chesterfield in 1979, and made key monetary contributions for the upgrades of the playing surface in 1988. After the 2004 season, Hunter Stadium received a renovation that included new end zone seating, a brand new two story press box with luxury boxes and a new concession area. In 2009, the playing surface at the facility was replaced with Enviroturf. The facility has hosted NAIA National Football Championship playoff games in 2004, 2008, and 2010; as well as the NAIA National Women's Soccer Championship in 2001 and 2002.

Robert F. Hyland Performance Arena or Hyland Performance Arena is a multi-purpose basketball arena in Saint Charles, Missouri. The arena opened in... 1997 and is home to the Lindenwood University Lions men's and women's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's & women's volleyball, men's & women's wrestling, olympic weightlifting, table tennis, and spirit squads. The facility also includes the athletic department offices. Hyland Arena currently seats 3,000 spectators plus and additional 270 in Luxury box seating. It was named after Robert Hyland who was the chairman of the Lindenwood board for many years and was also the CBS Regional Vice President and General Manager of radio station KMOX in St. Louis, Missouri for four decades. Lindenwood has explored the possibility of acquiring the nearby 10,000-seat Family Arena in a proposed deal that would give Saint Charles County the museum and property of the Daniel Boone Home owned by the University in exchange for the arena. Although the President of the university stated that the option hasn't been ruled out in the future.

Stacy Parrish , and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is an American songwriter, musician, engineer, and record producer. Parrish began playing... piano at age 7. He started to get serious about music in 1985 when he co-founded the band Arena with high school friends Jeff Cannon and Michael Brown. They were later joined by Parrish's brother, Shannon Whitehead, in 1986. Arena changed their name to Virtu in 1987 just before meeting producer and engineer Billy Stull at Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, New Mexico. Virtu became The Rudiments in 1989 with the addition of Peter Weldon and Steve Crider on guitars. In 1992, Parrish joined Robbie Dunn , Steve Chavez and Chuck Martin to form January's Little Joke. By the time January's Little Joke wrote and recorded their first self titled album, Parrish had already established his own recording studio, Water Studios, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to providing professional recording space for January's Little Joke, Water Studios had soon become a popular studio for a growing local music scene in Albuquerque.
