San Bernardino

San Manuel Stadium is a stadium in San Bernardino, California, United States. Located adjacent to Downtown San Bernardino. San Manuel Stadium has... been the home ballpark to the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino minor league baseball team since when it was originally built in 1996. It was called the Ranch as the baseball team name at that time was the San Bernardino Stampede. The stadium seats 5,000 people, with additional capacity provided by lawn seating. In 2004, it also served as the home of the Los Angeles Unity, the city's Pro Cricket team. In 2010, San Manuel Stadium was equipped with a new scoreboard, which is the largest in the California League. San Manuel Stadium was also the home field for the California State University, San Bernardino Coyotes baseball team. The Coyotes play in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA. In 2010, CSUSB moved its home games to Fiscalini Field, San Bernardino's former minor league stadium. The San Manuel facilities are used by the San Bernardino Valley College's baseball team as well.

PBK is a composer that works in the genres of Noise and/or Ambient music. American composer, Phillip B. Klingler, better known as PBK, has been... active in the experimental music underground since 1986. His soundwork correlates to electroacoustic, classic industrial and free jazz genres. PBK has fashioned a noise-based music that doesn't rely on power electronics process, but rather, by placing noises themselves into ambient/atmospheric sound environments. His soundworks are composed from turntable manipulation, sampling and analog/digital synthesis. Improvising spontaneously and with little preconception, PBK creates pulsing, echoing, organic soundscapes of unknown sonic origin. Between 1992 and 1996, PBK lived in Puerto Rico. He began experimenting with sound using record turntables and an extreme use of MIDI sequencer programming. Two projects were completed including a three LP boxset titled Domineer/Asesino/Retro and a CD release titled Life-Sense Revoked, a collaboration with other artists. PBK has performed live throughout the U.S. and in Europe. A restless collaborator, he has worked with some of the most respected names in experimental music.

Lisa Marie Varon , is an American professional wrestler, bodybuilder and fitness competitor of Puerto Rican and Turkish descent. Varon is best known... for her time in World Wrestling Entertainment under the ringname Victoria and her current tenure in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the ringname Tara. Varon started competing in fitness competitions and won ESPN2's Fitness America Series in 1997. In 1999, she placed second at a fitness event in New York to earn her International Federation of BodyBuilders Professional Fitness Card. Through a chance meeting, Varon met World Wrestling Federation performer Chyna who encouraged her to become a wrestler. She trained in the WWF's developmental territories for three years before being moved to the main roster to compete full time under the ring name Victoria. Her first TV appearance was at WrestleMania XVI as one of The Godfather's Hos. She debuted in June 2002, four months later she was pushed to win the WWE Women's Championship, a title she held twice in her wrestling career.

Derek Parra is a Mexican-American speed skater from San Bernardino, California, who graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1988. Parra won two... medals at the 2002 Winter Olympics, held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Parra was originally a world champion inline speed skater. Following the lead of KC Boutiette, he switched to ice skating in the late 1990s as it was the only way he would have a chance of going to the Olympics as a speed skater. Parra started speed skating at stardust skating center in San Bernardino Parra's most successful season was from 2001 to 2002. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, he took the gold in the 1500 meters, an event in which he had been expected to do well but faced a deep pool of competition. Before that, he had surprisingly won the silver in the 5000 meters, an event in which he had not been expected to place but in which he briefly held the world record before being bested by Jochem Uytdehaage of the Netherlands. Derek Parra was selected to take over as U.S. speed skating national all-around coach for the upcoming 2010 Olympics.

Corey Clark was born July 13, 1980 in San Bernardino, California, to Duane and Jan Clark, two singers who met on the road in Nashville, Tennessee in early 1978 while following their own musical aspirations. Duane, an R & B and disco singer who sang in San Bernardino nightclubs and opened for Al Wilson and B. B. King and recorded and performed with the James Last Orchestra and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, is of African American, Cherokee, Apache, and Blackfoot descent. Jan Clark, the Hungarian-Ukrainian, Jewish, Irish, French, Cherokee, and Algonquian great granddaughter of a Budapest concert pianist, met Duane in Nashville while she worked nightclubs specializing in R & B and Barbra Streisand.

Marshall Ambrose Neilan was an American motion picture actor, screenwriter, film director, and producer. Born in San Bernardino, California, Neilan... was known by most as "Mickey." Following the death of his father, the eleven-year-old Mickey Neilan had to give up on school to work at whatever he could find in order to help support his mother. As a teenager, he began acting in bit parts in live theatre, and in 1910 he got a job driving Biograph Studios executives around Los Angeles there to determine the suitability of the West Coast as a place for a permanent studio. Neilan made his film debut as part of the acting cast on the American Film Manufacturing Company Western The Stranger at Coyote . Hired by Kalem Studios for their Western film production facility in Santa Monica, Neilan was first cast opposite Ruth Roland. Described as confident, but egotistical at times, Neilan's talent saw him directing films within a year of joining Kalem.
