The Santa Clara Depot, located within the Santa Clara station in Santa Clara, California, was the oldest operating train station in the state until... its closure in May 1997. It was constructed by the San Francisco and San Jose Railroad Company in 1863. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The original 24'x50' board and batten depot was one of the two "way stations" built between San Francisco and San Jose. Plans for a railroad linking San Francisco and San Jose began as early as 1851. Though this scheme ultimately failed, the incorporation of the San Francisco and San Jose Railroad in 1859 met with success. Most of the financing for the project came from county government in San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, with the University of Santa Clara and local industry also playing a significant role in both stock acquisition and choice of placement of the depot in Santa Clara. The first passenger service to San Francisco started in January 1864. The Southern Pacific Railroad acquired the San Francisco & San Jose Railroad in 1868.

The Andrew J. Landrum House in Santa Clara, California, was built by Andrew J. Landrum, a prominent Santa Clara pioneer. Constructed in 1875, the... house is an example of eclecticism in architectural styles. Landrum combined the then-popular Italianate and Carpenter Gothic styles he found in pattern books, as seen in the corner quoins, the Italianate porch with scroll brackets, gables with cross-bracing and the cruciform interior plan. The two-story wooden residence was built on a "T" shaped plan which exhibits crossed, steeply gabled rooflines which are punctuated by a brick chimney and sheathed in wooden shingles. It is said locally that the Landrum House was one of the few buildings in Santa Clara whose chimney did not crumble in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. No major alterations have changed the building over the last 125 years and it remains one of Santa Clara's oldest and best preserved houses. The Charles Copeland Morse House was the home of Charles Copeland Morse, founder of the Ferry-Morse Seed Company. It is located in Santa Clara,... California, and is a California Historical Landmark , as well as listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This house is a classic Queen Anne Victorian. Rising three stories over a raised basement, the twin gables, witches' hat turret, decorative shingles, trims and stained glass windows all contribute to the grand effect. The entry is distinguished by an ornate front porch. Inside the mansion are rich wood molding, stained glass windows and chandeliers. A unique chandelier is found in the old dining room. This brass fixture came from the family of the founder of the Bank of America, Amadeo Giannini. About 1975, Caroline and Vaughn Nixon bought the house and restored the ornate mansion to its original grandeur. Agnews Developmental Center is a psychiatric and medical care facility, now located in San Jose, California. In 1885, the center, originally known as... "The Great Asylum for the Insane", was established as a facility for the care of the mentally ill. The main structure, a red brick edifice, was located on land near Agnew's Village, which later became part of Santa Clara. During the 1906 San Francisco earthquake the center became infamous as the site of the Santa Clara Valley's greatest loss of life resulting from the quake. The Daily Palo Alto reported: "The position of the people in Agnews is critical; a number of insane persons having escaped from the demolished asylum, are running at random about the country." 117 patients and staff were killed and buried in mass graves on the site. The main building and some others were irreparably damaged. Following this disaster, Agnews was rebuilt in the Mediterranean Revival architecture styles of Mission Revival—Spanish Colonial Revival, in a layout resembling a college campus of two-story buildings. It re-opened circa 1911 as Agnews State Mental Hospital.

Khrystyne Kamil Haje is an American television and film actress who is best known for her role as Simone Foster in the television series Head of... the Class. Born in Santa Clara, California, of parents of Lebanese and Czech descent, Haje began her acting career at 17 in the television movie Crime of Innocence. After appearing in several other television roles, including an appearance in Bates Motel, Haje landed her most memorable role in Head of the Class. After the series ended in 1991, Haje continued acting in both television and films. That same year, Haje won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Program for hosting the special Spaceship Earth: Our Global Environment. In 1995, Haje voiced the character of Rebecca Fallbrook in an episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Haje's most recent onscreen appearance was in an episode of Medium in 2005.

Andrew McFarlane is an American actor and former model. He is perhaps best known for his role as Tony Jeffers on the ABC sitcom My Wife and Kids.... Originally from Florida, he began modeling at age of 12, and soon began appearing in commercials and on the stage. In 2008-2009, he played the role of Jason in ten episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He has a small role in the 2009 parody film Dance Flick and an upcoming role in Just Peck.
