Elizabeth Stamatina "Tina" Fey is an American actress, comedian, writer and producer. She has received seven Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Writers Guild of America Awards. She was singled out as the performer who had the greatest impact on... culture and entertainment in 2008 by the Associated Press, who gave her their AP Entertainer of the Year award. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1992, Fey moved to Chicago to take classes at the improvisational comedy group The Second City, where she became a featured player in 1994. Three years later, Fey became a writer for the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live . She was promoted to the position of head writer in 1999. The following year, Fey was added to the cast of SNL. During her time there, she was co-anchor of the show's Weekend Update segment. After leaving SNL in 2006, she created the television series called 30 Rock, a situation comedy loosely based on her experiences at SNL. In the series, Fey portrays the head writer of a fictional sketch comedy series.

Saturday TV Funhouse is the title of a recurring skit on NBC's Saturday Night Live featuring cartoons created by longtime SNL writer Robert Smigel as well as a short-lived spinoff series TV Funhouse that ran on Comedy Central. TV Funhouse frequently satirizes public figures and corporations. In between the host segments, it would show either parodies of 1950s educational films or cartoons most frequently drawn in the flat, low-budget style of... Saturday morning Hanna-Barbera/Filmation cartoons of the 1970s and '80s. Another frequent target is the classic 1960s "Animagic" stop motion animated holiday specials of Rankin-Bass. The animation was originally produced by J.J. Sedelmaier Prod. for three seasons until WM Animation took over primary animation production duties in the 1999 - 2000 season. The opening and closing sequences of the SNL skits features a cartoon Lorne Michaels grappling with a small dog for control of his show. One of the animated shows for Saturday Night Live, entitled Titey, pokes fun at the glaring revisionism some accuse the Walt Disney Company of crafting.
