Bottoming out in the superficial world of Hollywood, a young Chinese-American actor, Liam Liu (Ken Leung, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND), gets a chance to start over when he inherits his grandmother's ancestral home in China. Travelling to Shanghai for the first time, Liu discovers a strange and exciting new world, meeting a woman (Kelly Hu, THE SCORPION KING) who may change his life forever--but at the expense of an improbable relationship with a high-school girl (Hayden Panettiere, HEROES) back in California.
