Shock Waves, , Death Corps, is a 1977 horror movie written and directed by Ken Wiederhorn. Despite its limited release, the film has become a cult classic. In the dark days of World War II, the Nazi High Command ordered its scientists to create a top secret race of indestructible zombie storm troopers - un-living, unfeeling, unstoppable monstrosities that killed with their bare hands. They were known as The Death Corps. No member of this horrific SS unit was ever captured by Allied Forces - and, somewhere off the coast of Florida they have survived The backdrop ship is the SS Sapona, a... concrete-hulled cargo steamer that ran aground near Bimini during a hurricane in 1926. The film was released theatrically in the United States by Joseph Brenner Associates in 1977. The film was released on VHS by Prism Entertainment and, later, Starmaker in the 1980s. The film was released on special edition DVD by Blue Underground in 2003.
