The Smeal College of Business is the business school of Penn State University, University Park, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1953, and is named after Mary Jean and Frank Smeal. The College offers undergraduate, graduate, doctoral degrees, including a Master of Business Administration Program, an Executive MBA Program, and a Master of Accounting. The college is accredited in business and accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business . The Smeal College of Business has six academic departments: Accounting, Finance, Insurance and Real Estate, Management and... Organization, Marketing, and Supply Chain and Information Systems. Smeal also offers seven undergraduate majors: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Supply Chain and Information Systems. Since its inception in 1953, more than 70,000 students have graduated from the college. Currently it has more than 5,500 students at all levels. James B. Thomas became the school’s dean in July 2006.
