Building on the strength of its predecessors, SOCOM 3 features streaming environment technology for maps up to six times the size of those in SOCOM II, as well as increased save points to avoid replaying a failed mission from the beginning. Land and water vehicles, including turret-equipped pickups, military Humvees and SOC-R assault boats, can now be used by you and the artificial intelligence for improved tactical command. An innovative weapon customization system allows you to use more than 30 different weapons and attachments, for more than 1,000 weapon combinations designed to take your enemies out. Combined with more complex team and enemy AI behavior, SOCOM 3 immerses you in an intense tactical experience.

SOCOM 3 is packed to the brim with new features, content, game types and more that will no doubt quench the parched thirst of SOCOM fans everywhere. The latest entry in the military shooter series offers new single- and multiplayer features, including up to 32 players in one game online, player-controlled vehicles, more than 900 weapon combinations, and new maps "five to six times" larger than those of previous SOCOM games. SOCOM 3 features roughly 20 transports you can commandeer, like Humvees, tanks, jeeps, convoy trucks, assault boats... the list goes on and on. Each vehicle has multiple ride points, many with mounted turrets or open weapons holes, meaning that other soldiers can hop and act not only as passengers but as a collective mobile unit of death.

My favorite online game for the Sony Playstation 2 thus far. It has an excellent mix of the best elements from "Battlefield" and "Rainbow Six," both of which are games I love. The singleplayer is pretty good this time around as well.
