Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park is a baseball venue in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. It is home to the University of South Carolina Upstate... Spartans college baseball team of the NCAA's Division I Atlantic Sun Conference. It opened on February 1, 2004, when Upstate swept a double header against Tusculum College. The facility has a capacity of 500 spectators. The park is named for Cleveland S. Harley, a Spartanburg-area businessman and philanthropist. Harley played a role in both the university's founding and the development of its athletic programs. The venue also features a press box, practice facility, and batting cages. It is part of the Louis P. Howell Athletic Complex. The following is a list of USC Upstate home records since Harley Park's opening in 2004. The Spartans moved from Division II to Division I in time for the beginning of the 2008 season.

Toy Talmadge Caldwell Jr. was the lead guitar player, main songwriter and a founding member of the 1970s Southern Rock group The Marshall Tucker... Band. He was a member of the band from 1973 to 1983. Caldwell was born November 13, 1947 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Mr. and Mrs. Toy Talmadge Caldwell Sr. He began playing guitar before his teen years with his younger brother Tommy Caldwell. Toy played basketball and football in high school with friends George McCorkle, Jerry Eubanks, and Doug Gray. While very involved in sports, the boys eventually became interested in music including jazz and blues. By age sixteen, Toy was passionate about music, sports, and his other obsession, motorcycles. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Caldwell decided to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 1966, Toy was in Parris Island, and was wounded September 1968, he was evacuated for 2 weeks, then sent back to the front lines. Caldwell was discharged in 1969 and once again began playing music with his high school buddies.

Arthur Prysock was an American jazz singer best known for his live shows and his baritone influenced by Billy Eckstine. Born in Spartanburg, South... Carolina, Prysock moved to Hartford, Connecticut to work in the aircraft industry during World War II. In 1944 bandleader Buddy Johnson signed him as a vocalist, and Prysock became a mainstay of the live performance circuits. Prysock sang on several of Johnson’s hits on Decca Records and later on Mercury Records . In 1952 Prysock went solo and signed with Decca to record the R&B hit, "I Didn’t Sleep a Wink Last Night". He recorded R&B classics like Roy Brown's "Good Rocking Tonight". In the sixties, Prysock joined Old Town Records and did an R&B cover of Ray Noble's ballad "The Very Thought of You" and a pop hit "It’s Too Late Baby, It’s Too Late" . For Verve Records he recorded Arthur Prysock and Count Basie , and A Working Man's Prayer .
